Flanno has never had the cattle, while coaching us. He is in the process of building a team from the ground up. Koloamatangi will help and our younger players being a year older and more experienced next year will help, but we do need sign some outside backs with speed, agility and X factor or produce them through our juniors.
In the first half that was pretty much the 17 Flanno is going to start with against Souths reserve grade team.
Maybe so RD, but it was the Souths ressies side, sure you dont expect to see your hand but I didn't expect to see our embarrassing plays either, surely you are not telling me we go out there to practice playing crap.

We’re playing a team who finished 1st in points conceded last year and the field size is considerably smaller than here in Australia.
If it isn't much better we are going to be a laughing stock.
I thought in Buchanan's few opportunities he worried the defence like no one else in that backline did. Suli did what he always does. Ran hard and made metres, got found out at least once with his lack of speed over the first 10m. Fale had nothing.
I think the smaller field size will help our big, slow outside backs to barge their way over for a couple of tries. Though not that I follow closely but I think the Grubs also have a lot of big, slowish outside backs paired with a smallish front row rotation.
I'd love to believe that, but that has changed the trajectory of the season, the path from here is quite different.. its one we will be hearing about every february for the next decade.
Buchanan is coming on fresh (relatively), and defensively not a lot he can do imo against a big bodied centre most 1st grade squads will run at him... but hes in the squad and a backup, obviously Val has that spot wrapped up.. well.. now im not so sure but assume hes still left ctr unless things go badly and hes needed elsewhere.
