Dragons v Storm Round 2

Cook can go the distance but is he more likely to break the line and set up a try if he gets a rest? He is.
When I said "if Cook couldn't go the distance", I meant that there was a risk that he got injured, got cramps, HIA, etc. I think LKT was emergency cover for this (with Kyle moving to 9). Of course, it is better for Cook to get a rest and he will get a rest when Liddle comes back. Until Liddle gets back, I don't think Flanagan will be giving Cook a rest unless it's necessary.

I don't think he will either. Even though he said Kyle was recruited to play as a 14, a utility coming on to play hooker.

Mate if nothing changes this will be Coach Flanno,'s downfall , Kyle gives his all first to kicks does a lot of work off the ball but gives absolutely nothing in attack ...... He is suited as a utility player if he has to be in the team .......
He tries hard. Gives 110% to everything. Lawrie does also. Sloan for example could take example from them. But they are severely lacking talent. Problem is one has been in and out of the team, mostly out but the other is first picked every week unless he is suspended for biting.

Just a friendly reminder that this thread exists:
As for the game, I very, very rarely wrap any other club but I thought this would be the year Melbourne start to slide until I watched the game on Thursday. Have to give it to Bellamy. Even if Harry Grant is out, I think Wishart is an overrated utility but might become one of the best hookers in the competition when he goes to Perth next year.

It seems that it's never the year that Melbourne start to slide!

If Dragons win this game, I think we can say we are Melbourne's bogey team.

One thing which almost certainly won't happen is with the Couchmans and Stewart in the middle, they are not going to dominate us in that part of the field. And if Liddle is back, we might trouble them in the middle. The backs are a worry. Going to have to make a lot of one on one tackles because give their wingers an inch and they will go around us.

Think we need Holmes to beat em, but im assuming hes gonna need some time to get the hamstring right.. that rugby kid Moses Leo looked a freaking beast in attack.. he worries me.. cant believe how poorly our rugby gun worked out vs guys like warbrick, markN and this leo kid..

Our defense looks like it has improved, however, will it be that much improved to offset the offensive spark of the Storm? Will the Storm's defense be hard to crack for us to score tries? Who will be able to score length of the field tries for us if one of our halves (ahem) should make a break from our 20 metre zone to pass to a flying....?

I think that the only time that Craig Bellamy gave the Dragons a huge wrap is when we beat his team in 2010 by a score of 34-14, saying we were the "yardstick/benchmark" of the competition in 2010 and he was right because we won that year. It was also the year that the Storm lost all comp points (8 from 6 games) and were not eligible for any points for the remaining games had they won, due to salary cap cheating.

I hope he can say that we are the yardstick for this year, but I doubt it.
