Not bad, but once Flanno is flicked I'd like to see Luciano move into the front row rotation and Egan into the back row, and LPT in the 17 with Halangalu. Nick T as backup and getting some gametime at some point.
I doubt Deano would challenge Flanno on too much. The way they dressed last game, and the way Deano spoke to the players at half time with Flanno in the background, indicates to me that Deano is doing what he feels needs to be done to takeover as HC.
You can understand why other clubs are circling our juniors. The first grade side can't win a game, our reserve grade side is killing them with a heap of youngsters that are not getting a go behind some real plodders in the NRL. They must be thinking "what are those idiots doing?"
yes, that is the long term option, but in reality it ain't going to happen any time soon (if at all!). In the meantime we need to change things because it ain't working. We aren't going to buy a halfback with Reed in the wings, so why not give Gutho a shot there until he is ready. I actually...
If Lyhkan doesn't work out I think this would be worth a shot. It puts some speed at the back with Sloan, moves Atkinson to is favoured position which should help is running game and I think Gutho has the smarts to guide the side around the paddock.
Thanks Mug. Knowing this club, we will probably look at a couple of old boys in Dean Young and Ben Hornby as long term coaches. Personally I wouldn't go with either, especially Young who has been a part of the current shit show for too long. Mug, do you have thoughts about Young and Hornby as...
Yeah, but, I still don't understand why we don't challenge for attacking kicks as much as we should. Just about every Hughes bomb was challenged by them and just about every time it was heart in your mouth stuff. We just don't do it. Is it poor execution or lack of skill?
I'd love to get Barnett. Him and kk give us a very imposing front row. While we have some good young forwards coming through we still seem light in the front row. I mean we have the Couchies but they are mobile workhorse types, not the battering rams we need. With barnett, kk and the youngsters...
Yeah, Sloan in particular was disappointing. I'm a fan of his and was hoping he would've killed it in a trial against a lot of reserve graders. But it was the same old Sloan. For all his pace and deceptiveness, he just jogs the ball back into the defensive line and quickly submits in the tackle...
