No, id rather only pick SOO players who want to play for Australia. Some emerging young talent could get a run. Why not try a 3 week break in the comp, and have state of origin and something like island of origin/heritage at the same time.

I really don't get how players who choose a different country than Australia still get to play in State of Origin. They're Australian states are they not , and to me it takes away from what it is supposed to be, which is the best Australian players from NSW & QLD.

Agree 100%. And the other issue will be if he proves to the world that he simply can't coach, his old man and his old mans mates holding positions of influence at the club will make it very difficult to sack him. Conversely, they may also be influential getting his contract(s) extended when not...

Yep, I have reservations about Arthur due to age , getting sacked from Parra etc. However, his teams massive win over the defending premiers in Las Vegas was super impressive, and they really played a great style of football. So, I wouldn't say no to him.

Agree, we need to tell these 2 they are our future and lock them in now for the next 2-3 years, even if we overpay them a little bit. And, then give them the experience they need in the NRL.
