Wishart is a great backup half or 14. Agree, we need at least 1 exceptional half. Unsure yet whether Atkinson is that player. The side lacks speed out wide and in the halves.

Unfortunately we still have Cook, and in theory young Flanagan is meant to have been signed as a 14.

I think that is the problem We need a few marquee signings to compete in the NRL But the crop of young forwards is very impressive. We need to discover the next Mark Gasnier !

Injuries to so many great juniors killed any chance we had to compete. We are 2-3 top players away from completing for a top 6 spot

Judging by the recent article in the DT, Anderson may be preoccupied signing the better juniors to longer term contracts. Unsure that there are many high quality players available for 2026. 2027 will probably be the year the squad is fully revamped
