It's hard to say which player is better. They have different styles and provide different benefits. Edwards, Tedesco are more high work rate. Ponga and Walsh are more about moments. Ponga is like an extra half, Tedesco and Edwards like an extra forward. I don't think Ponga is as good defensively...

I think these days the Cup squad only gets a session a week to train as a team and work on their game. The rest of their training is in the service of getting first grade ready.

I certainly wouldn't sign Edwards to a 10 year contract! I wasn't actually suggesting signing him. It's a bit unrealistic. I just meant that I think you can find a Bula level player much cheaper, but a player of Edwards' quality is worth paying extra for.

I think you pay 1 mil for Edwards, but not Bula. Don't get me wrong, he's good. But I think you can get a good fullback much cheaper. There are many NRL level fullbacks but not many NRL level halfbacks.
