I know he is only young and has a long way to go, but gee he looks like he has some talent. From the matches I saw not only was he a good attacking player, but pretty reasonable with his defense as well. Hope he kicks on AND we keep him long term if he does.

I actually thought the same thing. It would’ve been good if he kicked the last goal though.

Yes think you are right unfortunately. I haven’t seen one supportive post promoting Young from posters on here or Jubilee Ave. I know most of us are “just fans” but it makes you wonder how the board sees it so differently to the majority of us.

A poster on Jubilee Ave who is credible stated that Cheika was not one of the three shortlisted for an interview.

It seems that no matter who is appointed - and I know it is likely going to be Young - there are no proven options we are considering. Given this is the case it is a real shame they at least didn't give Cheika an interview.

Very hard to be optimistic about winning any match. Yes their speed in the backs will hurt us just like nearly every other game unfortunately.

If this is true how on earth can he be allowed to referee in the NRL? I know it may be betting on horses or whatever but it is not a good look for the game. It will certainly focus attention on any questionable decisions that he makes.

Peter King does seem like a good appointment - being CEO of Westpac for a number of years is no small achievement. Certainly a step up from Craig Young!
