It appears that we dont learn by our mistakes. Loved watching Lance play, nothing flash about him but one of those players every engine room needs and bled red and white

Absolutely correct and your right on various forums im a member of the 'fair-weather supporters' are ripping up their memberships, saying the club is not transparent, disloyal and on and on and on.
My reply is we will be ok in the engine room especially in the back row/ lock positions. We just need that big bodied experienced bookend.
Yup and those same people complain about signing 'old' players that are 5 years younger. Hilarious.
It was made abundantly clear last extension it was only going to be year on year, if he's got an offer for 2 and he wants to lock in his future then good on him. But that's his decision and we shouldn't be budging on longer contracts and putting ourselves in positions to block juniors.

It's a bit of this but more to do with the old boys club as it is referred to ....... They have too much influence with what goes on , even if their names are not in the star lights ....... J Sowie has felt the brunt of this , plus Cooper ....... I have to stop at that ........

He has been a very good player for us, took a hit for the club playing 8 in previous and this season. It has caught up with him to my eye but has always put in for us. His offloads have all but disappeared in recent times. We will beat the Eels this weekend

I think Jack easily had 1 more year in him at better than anyone else we have bar maybe Toby/Ryan, Jack is the only bloke that punches through the line.. and he can tackle too if thats whats needed. If Parra were willing to offer him 2yrs.. then i sort of get it...
The problem is we need to land half a dozen quality players for next season.. how the f*** are we going to do that.. we are missing every shot we take.. everyone is locked up + noone wants to come.. im very nervous about the next 18mths now.. I dont think Flanno is gonna survive... I just hope he doesnt bomb the roster in the process.

Yeah that’s the worry, coaches under pressure make short term signings to win now that can affect the club for many years after he’ eventually sacked
that’s why the Recruitment manager and CEO need to think 2-3 years ahead not just 6 months from now
It’s a lot easier said than done but I’d like us to adopt a similar approach to the raiders where they offer elite prospects slight overs to get them in and develop them
Rather than signing an ‘experienced’ player which could literally mean anything, Matt Lodge is an experienced prop but not one of us would like us to sign him and rightfully so

If we don’t win this we will definitely be fighting it out for the wooden spoon. We need to get the juniors out of there before they get mentally scarred. Anyway can only hope for the best.
