Round 25 vs South Sydney

Agree Morgan , I was probably referring more to stopping him at the line.
Won't have to worry about Mitchell as he hasn't been selected however, Souths still do look formidable and will, like all other games we will playing, be hard to beat. Cody Walker is the man to watch when he comes on off the bench.

Our team under the circumstances looks OK and will be tough to beat as well if they continue with their new found connect commitment.

Rabbitohs and Dragons to battle with a staggering 28 players sidelined through injury
An astonishing $12 million - or 28 players - could be sidelined, only increasing fears over the game’s depth to cater for the addition of two new clubs

South Sydney could be without 15 players for Thursday night’s game, while 13 St George Illawarra Dragons are expected to be unavailable.

Never before has a single NRL game been robbed of $12m worth of playing talent through injury with both sides missing up to 60 per cent of their salary cap.

Dragons coach Shane Flanagan was also rocked by his side’s expanding injury toll.

“We have 56 per cent of our salary cap out. I’ve never seen it so bad in my 10 years of coaching in the NRL. I just hope it’s a one-off and a run of bad luck,” Flanagan said.

The armchair critics/ coaches now have a better understanding how hard it is to play young rising stars especially in the forwards for big minutes in their first season of 1sts. Boys v men, big impacts every set, it takes its toll on the youngsters.

RFM is Winx odds to be a late inclusion to the 17
RFM has played a surprisingly small number of games this year.. he is clearly out of favour given he played nearly every game the year before from the bench.

He is very solid in NSW Cup.. and I think he does a better job than Jacob, but I think this is more about playing the long game.. that said RFM vs Fifita vs BMM, I dunno which of those 3 u pick make much of a difference.. just depends if you want 2nd row cover, in which case RFM.. if u just want impact minutes in the middle, take ur pick out of Fifita and BMM.. BMM it could be more of a gesture also to a departing longterm first grader.

I cannot see this squad being the group which takes the field on Thursday night. If we were to lose just one forward, we would be left with just one forward, Blake Lawrie or LPT, on the bench.

We are going need someone who can play big minutes.

I just realised... we do have a 22nd player available in Jonah Glover, the last of our dev players, wonder why he never gets named even just to fill up the slots?

Hi all I am new to this forum but have enjoyed reading all your thoughts these last couple of weeks. Looking forward to next season after seeing many youngsters debuting and getting first grade games under their belt. Reminds me a bit of Canberra from a couple of years ago when they kept losing all those close games with a young team. The team will be better for it and hungrier next year, here’s hoping.

Young Halangahu is going to get a start and BMM back into the 17, I just wonder the reasoning behind Sloan off the bench.? Interesting to watch the match up of the 5/8 as well. Souths will have Smith/Walker off the bench but with or without Kaleoamatangi we will beat the Rabbits and extract revenge for our 1 point debacle loss against them earlier this season. Dragons 1 - 12

That is strange but Flanno must have a plan. If it backfires, we have every right or even a responsibility to criticise him for it.

Looks like Souths big injury list is a nit exaggerated. Bad but they have Koloamatangi, Walker and Smith.

I watched the game v Titans. Titans really targeted Aston Ward. Souths covered for him well. I think it will be better to use a decoy to run at Ward but then go to the outside using the space created by Souths moving in to help Ward.
