If I can show my ignorance here but my question is, Does having an ACL reconstruction strengthen the ACL for the future ?
It’s never the same mate, the knee will never be 100% like pre injury. There’s always the chance of re rupturing but each case is different and dependant on the graft taking hold with the original muscles in and around the knee.

Some people have multiple ruptures of the same knee, some only once then no further issues but speaking from my experience, it’s never been the same for me and that little bit of doubt is always in the back of your mind.

It’s a bastard of an injury and absolutely messes with your head afterwards for quite a while

Thanks mate, a top insight, makes you wonder half our pack with the same injury, where will their headspace be at, as you say it will also be a mighty mental battle.

It’s a brutal game mate, not great for the knees. Our bodies aren’t designed to cope with such heavy punishment to the knees, ankles etc.

It can happen in any sport but league is a different beast especially when there’s the player plus 2 or 3 defenders all tangled up, effectively 300-400kg coming down to the ground, very easy to see how it can go pear shaped so easily unfortunately

Yeah too true mate, I just hate watching those cannonball tackles, they make me sick.

How bad is Loco injury?
I was fearing an ACL as he tried to stand, but saw only a slight limp as he left the field, pretty much unaided. An ACL usually needs one guy on each shoulder. After Mulheisen gave him the leather in traffic he was gang tackled and forced back falling awkwardly. Jeez man you give the pill to the big dude when he has built some steam not from basicly a standing start. Boy do we need the Lokomotive fit in two weeks as he Jake and Jett led our powerful early go forward, something missing past month and that no doubt surprised the crap out of the minor premiers...

Only wish I was able to drop you guys a link of the full game. Without doubt our best performance of the season and clearly shows what a difference having back a couple of kids Jake and Loko made. Dead set still kids but they controlled the engine room like seasoned pros such was their dominance. Not leaving out Jett either as he was equally as dominant. The trios pcms will make pleasant reading.

Seems to me the hype surrounding these young blokes is justified. Which will be good after Sullivan, Amone, Hutchinson and remember Cameron King?

Coaches need to tell the guy with ball in hand, halves, centres mainly, to prioritise our speed. I speak of starving Jesse Williams, not first time either. This guy needs to be given clean ball in space not left on his wing catching a cold. Note how most play went to the Feagai side while the few that went Jesses way never found him as Buchanan has an aversion to passing, even to a speedy finisher like Jess. On one occasion he ignored the flyer and ran back inside when with a quick lay off Jesse had a probable chance to cross.
