But as I said before, I don't have a major issue with it unless it keeps happening but then again, why would you have an issue with it if it's moved or merged? Multiple threads covering the same topic are a mess. I think at some stage in the next month, I'm going to go through old threads, which no one probably looks in any more and merge them with threads covering the same topic.

But will it? It has caused you to pull the plug for a short period of time and there have been others who have complained about Frank going on and off topic. We will deal with it.

If we were prepared to offer Bula 900K a season. I wonder if we offered Purdue 900K a season to play fullback for us, if that would have got us his signature? As you all know, I would take Purdue for fullback over Bula for the same price.

It was said Dearden was offered 1 mil a season from a rival club, but chose to stay in Nth Qld for 700K. That is a big difference, like an extra 40% more than 700K. Maybe his contract with Nth Qld was topped up with 3rd party payments?

With Dearden and Purdue, Nth Qld have 2 top line spine players to build a team around, as long as Purdue does extend.

I wonder if news of Purdue re-signing with the Cowboys was a bit premature? I didn't see the game but apparently Clifford had a blinder in the trial and has locked himself into a starting halves position with Dearden. Drinkwater is signed for this year and next to play fullback so if Purdue wants to play 5/8 or fullback anytime soon, it probably won't be at the Cowboys. I'm not convinced at all he'd be a good 5/8 but would probably make a very good fullback.

I mentioned his once before. I would sign Tom Jenkins from Penrith to play wing for us. He is better than any wingers we currently have. He has a real go. Takes hit ups, competes in the air. He can also play centre. He was left out of of Penriths team at the end of last year, so if we offered him a place in our team he may take it. He also wouldn't be very expensive either.

Tolutau Koula can now be added to this thread. It's Bula or Gutho again next year.

I don't think we should sign Bula for any price. Did you watch him last night. He was quite poor.
I wouldn't say we shouldn't, but, if we signed Koula to play fullback, it would be a gamble, as we haven't seen much of him playing fullback.

Flanno apparently spoke of some more signings that could be on the way. We can only speculate on who they may be?

We have Gutho signed for next year on 900K. I would still sign Purdue to play fullback for us and play Gutho at centre next year.

I believe if we signed Purdue and Jenkins, our backline would be strengthened. We would have more pace, agility and strike power, which we currently lack.

There are not many good players who are still unsigned for 2027.
