When Kyle played alongside Hunt. Hunt was selfish and took too much ball. We were effectively playing "Huntball".

The best coach currently available is Willie Peters

Suli should be playing edge backrow. Tonight they mentioned he only scored 1 try last year. I think he would make a good edge backrower, with his strong hard runs and his defence would be more suited to edge backrow.

I'd just like to know wtf we do in these off seasons, seriously some of the errors made today looked like guys had met earlier on this afternoon and decided to have a game of footy.

If we really do drop our bundle early season, then maybe things change quickly.. I hope that doesnt happen tbh, were in for a tough year no matter who coaches, Flanno should be able to get us up to atleast a few upsets...... right now every roster bar Newcastle scares me, so much talent out there.. and even Newcastle scares me a bit with ponga, sharp, brown, hunt.. but a big step down from the rest..

we are a very big shot of being 0 and 2 against dogs/storm, then we need to beat Parra in Round 3.... it could get dark if we dont...

But I feel like all the good coaches already went anyway, Hannah is the one I rly liked.. I dunno who the next brigade will be tbh.. I know there is Peters.. OBrien maybe comes back around, if we get Young I will be in the foetal position... anyone else I feel would be a stab in the dark...

He’s by far and away the #1 candidate, I haven’t looked into others but it’s always a safe bet going and grabbing one of the Penrith assistant coaches.

The last 2 from the Cleary coaching Tree have turned out alright……

It was the team that I expect Flanno to pick for round 1, against a very under strength Souths team. It is very concerning for us and bright for Souths.

Ahahaha I don’t rate AOB and I definitely don’t rate Young. I think I’d just not watch rugby league if it came to one of them getting the job

Just looking at the games and after the first 3 its titans away/Cowboys home/Manly home

I think we should be expecting at least 3-3 from the first 6 games, if it is 0-6 or 1-5 then my god the media will be on us like white on rice. I think if it got to that point it’s inevitable he gets sacked barring a miraculous Newcastle 2023 style turnaround where if you remember the talk was AOB gets sacked any week now and then Newy go and win 10 straight heading into finals

Yah im not necessarily saying im into AOB either, just that he is one of the few options still out there.. im sure there are other names, like a Brad Arthur.. like there are names.. but noone that is exciting... they all got taken last year, I didnt mind Holbrook either....

It just depends how the season rolls out from here, there arent really any easy games, so in order to win anywhere close to 50% which is the goal.. were gonna have to be very very good to compete.. im not sure if the comp has never been harder to find an easy win.. used to always be a few easy beats.... fark we still need to sign some players to in the next 2 weeks.. good luck Ando >.>

Ennis will be wanting to move around clubs getting different experience.. so when he gets his shot he will be ready, he will wait for the right role too..with the best shot of success.... I dont think we are the gig and I think its too early anyway.

I'd say if it did go to sh** (and thats a big if.. were all hurting tonight etc) id say Young is the interim...

I wouldn't consider moving Holmes to the wing, but would consider dropping Suli for Buchanan.

I'll go as far as saying that if we get totally embarrassed at Vegas, the knives will be out and starting to get sharpened.

Suli’s been space jammed the last 12 months. He was so good prior to last year

I don’t think he’s an absolute lock to keep his spot like he once was. Still a starter but a run of poor games and I’m dropping him. 500k to half ass in defence and run 120 metres a game. Yeah I can get that output for half the price elsewhere

After 2 trials, I would take Reed to Vegas in front of LKT. Unsure what is wrong with LKT at the moment. Seems reserved and lacking interest.

Buchanan had one very good run.

Don’t rate Tuipolotou. Better off playing Fegai.

Overall forwards played well.

Backs lack speed and enterprise.

Don’t usually bash Kyle, however tonight he was ordinary.

We need to fast track Reed otherwise it’s going to be a long season.

Good post. I agree on most if not all points.

the problem is Suli is actually the prototype Flanno player.. and in the first half he was monstering blokes.. in theory if everyone is monstering blokes.. you kick to the corners.. u force mistakes.. u tire them out and u win... but its not often that tgame plan has worked for us.. if Suli was Staggs or Best or someone who scores tries then sure.. be big and score tries..

Defensively Suli can be a liability also.. but i dont think hes too bad in that area.. its more just that he isnt a line threat in particular.. our attack does seem to die around him.. though it wasnt any better on Fales side.

Nick is an option, hes more of a line threat than Suli I feel but hes a much worse liability in defence.. he rly is a 2nd rower..

And Buchanan is like the smallest bloke out there.. a little bigger this year, but I dunno if he improves us at all.. and we lose our punch with the ball too.. im rly not a buchanan fan, but if they wanna play him its fine, but i just think ppl got a sugar hit today with his 1 run, i dont think it improves us.. and I dont think Heidke is ready.. I think he could have been but were obviously looking at Fale/Buchanan first.

Cant wait for Val to get back... lets pray he stays fit.. like proper pray.
