That shot at goal sums sloan up to a T ... turn up, expect it to all happen, dont put in the required effort/concentration, fail.
Sloan got away with a rly lazy play the ball early in the game also, they usually get pulled up.. would have been a totally different vibe on his game if it had started like that.. not taking anything away from the rest of it.. he was motivated and trying today.

i dont know rev .. his chiming into the line at times was horrible .. the centres struggled with the balls that LKT and Sloan were giving them .. horrible stuff.

oh yaa I never expect that.. for me if hes not a defensive liability and puts effort in I dont complain anymore... but ultimately I cant wait till hes not part of the squad.. TPH to the back.. and take ur pick of wing options... or guys like fale and feagai..

Ultimately if I’m being brutally honest about LKT, does he look like he’s going to one one of the better halves in the NRL?

Athletically and mentally I just don’t see it like I do with Kade Reed or Toby Rodwell or Lorenzo Talataina. Guys around his age who just dominate games and look a cut above the rest

Fortunately there are 3-4 talented halves every year coming out of school that need an opportunity and can be signed with certain promises made

If he leaves then so be it but if you asked any scout/evaluator who looks like they could be a blue chip talent in the NRL out of Jasais ah Kee or LKT they would say the former

He may or may not become one of the better halves in the NRL. He probably won't, because not many players do. But he could (I mean as a 6). And he can definitely become a steady NRL half. With 2 new teams coming in, it's going to be very difficult to sign players from outside the system. Signing talented kids just out of school is very competitive: every club can offer money and promises. I reckon the inefficiency in the market is around players like Atkinson, Pezet, who are a little bit older, already proven at NRL level, but looking for opportunity because stuck behind good players.

Sounds promising so do we allow him the opportunity now to play a full season of ressies with cameo appearances in 1sts later this year barring injuries?
I have said Reed needed tuffening before top grade and now even more so given he picked up a HIA in his first game of the season in Ressies. He aint ready but is the older Hammoud ready for a top grade crack before him if Atkinson continues to show he is no creator.

To win without our prime play maker was a top effort. His replacement O'Neil went ok.

Not a spectacle thats for sure, more a grind, as both teams lacked attacking structure. Best for the Dragons were Sloan and Lawrie. When was the last time Blocker player 60mins. His work ethic just doubled and his flab loss has him more agile, stronger and now capable of making good pcms. Sloan the most complete game from him at the back, think I have seen. Even pulled down a runaway grub with a flying tackle to save what could have been the winning six pointer. Looks more relaxed away from the pressure of top grade. Loko made some bullocking runs, two in one set I recall, , Nick, who I reckon is a first grader, also stood out while best off the bench was workaholic Hutchinson.
