To be fair, was an absolute brain explosion from Luc. 3 on 2, Feagai was open with the Manly winger way infield. Go through the hands and it’s a try 100%. Luc himself admitted he didn’t realise we had the overlap, poor play on his behalf. To his credit, he’s been one of our best all season so far. Very frustrating but that happens when you haven’t won a game for a while

Well, Kyle had another shocker. Not that he made many mistakes. Apart from a few bad missed tackles he didn't really make any. I'm not sure if the dummy and run on the last is considered a mistake. When Flanno said in the off season he wanted Kyle to take more chances, go for the bigger plays, we now know it was to dummy and run on the last when attacking the opposition line. Masterstroke by Flanno!

But we can see now we have to judge Kyle on the number of line breaks, line break assists and try assists. Going off that data, it's almost certain he's the worst half or 5/8 to ever play more than 100 first grade games.

It's a shame. I think Flanno still has what it takes to be a decent coach but he just can't, refuses to accept Kyle is not first grade standard.

Our team is so easy to read for the opposition defence.

Some scribe must have accused Flanagan of nepotism, which I have done for two yrs, as he is now defending it in the media. He blew his job by constantly playing Kyle at #7 because he was the best player to lead our team, when that was patently untrue. Isnt that nepotism?

I've said a few times, I think if Flanno said something like, "Kyle has struggled along with several others but he's the best option we have right now", a lot of people would have been far more accommodating. But the way he has continually said, "Kyle is/was one of our best" was incredibly damaging in several ways in my view.

One being the message it sends to our other halves with double Kyles ability.

Atkinson looks more a pivot than a half. Doubled his previous running metres, kicked well and made the tackles he had to, but those were down on what he was making at 7. For the first time in three/four matches, Kyle out tackled him.

Unfortunately this thread remains relevant for another week.

I have to say, judging by last game Kyle's game and devolved from 'trying hard' but severely lacking talent to outright cynicism. We all know Atkinson and LKT were crucified for some bad kicks on the last tackle against the Cowboys so Kyle didn't want to do the same thing. His place in the team would've looked even more ridiculous. So whenever called upon for an attacking kick on the last, he dummied and ran himself or passed the ball to the outside. Outright cynicism!

Before the media was beating around the bushes. Suggesting "some players" were getting favourable treatment. They are now coming out and naming Kyle directly.

I think it was about a year ago, I first got the idea Flanno would rather get sacked than drop Kyle. Everything I have seen and heard since makes me believe that still more.
