Well the truth is, if you were a family of 4, mum , dad and 2 kids, you have to drive a couple of hours to get to the game, the day will cost you with all expenses well and truly over $250, your team gets pumped(again), they get booed off at HT and FT and you go home pissed off. Not to mention the chant for the opposition is louder than the home side and their fans are ridiculing you all the way. Sounds like a fun day out to me :)

14s have to be able to play hooker. He is 28. Kind of late in his career to transition to hooker from the halves.

Just my view, you need a 14 who can actually fill in competently in 2 positions in your spine. He fills the bill defensively. I believe he would be a able assistant to Liddle in the 9 next season if Liddle can overcome one of the worst leg injuries you can get as a player.

In 2005 when our Jersey Flegg side scored 102 points against the Central Coast, we scored 18 tries. That's approx 1 try every 4.45 minutes. So if we can keep Penrith from scoring for the first, say, 8 minutes, they will find it very hard to bring up the century.

I raised the red on Anzac Day but not very long or very often

"Utility" value is less important with the 6 man bench.

Choose your preferred 4 man bench (I'd have a 9, 2 middles, 1 mid/edge hybrid) and add 2 backups in case of injury (OB, half).

I didn't mind Kyle being on the bench the last couple of weeks as emergency cover for 9/halves. If, on the other hand, you actually intend to play a second 9 off the bench, it should be a genuine 9. We need at least another genuine 9 to replace Cook.

Yes, why have a non-9 cosplaying as a 9 for 20 minutes a game? Put a genuine 9 on the bench if you are going to give your starting 9 a rest.
