I'm not knocking their careers, both been great players etc etc, but Flanno had the hots for them and had no idea which way the game was going, in this case he really royally shafted us. I dont think I can handle seeing them go round for another year.

It's about balancing quantity of games v quality of performance. We'll probably have to do the same for KK, hopefully not Sami nor Drinkwater. Although, the quicker speed of game will result in more fatigue & imo more injuries, making squad depth crucial too.

I think it's very important to continue growing our catchment area & also protecting it from rivals. Young quality players on lesser value contracts will be more important in the future. It's what Panthers have done with their junior base.

In fairness to Flanno, I don't think you can blame him on the direction the game has gone, I'd say majority of clubs didn't know this was going to play out like that, our issue was we couldn't attract players for whatever reason, bringing in Gutho, Holmes and Cook on paper was a good idea, in reality hasn't worked out, Gutho was meant to steady the ship and take Sloan under his wing and prepare him over the first couple of years and he would take over, that has been a FAIL, more so on Sloan's part, Holmes was meant to give us that class, speed and strike power, he started off well last year, then got injured and has played busted majority of this year and it has shown him up, Cookie was brought in as well to give us that experience and get the team going forward etc this year has stood up, especially considering that Liddle has found his WT injury form now, he has played better this year than last year, it also hasn't helped that Flanno and Co didn't invest in Tamale, SFinau over the last 2 years they would have made a big difference this year, I'm actually surprised we don't try and get SFinau back, considering he hasn't played for Canberra this year, all in ll i think Flanno shot himself in the foot with his 2016 based ideology on how to win a game of NRL too bad its 10 years too late..

Ai but we do need to sort our coach out to sort out the junior extensions and any market value OB's.. particularly when they have other options and fark me how did the Cows pull 2x quality OB's in Katoa and Ramien when they have tonnes of em already, they are swimming in them... Dogs will be after some to refresh their defence orientated roster... Storm know they need speed... Sharks to replace the 2 they lost... everyone.... speed speed speed is hot now. The marquees were a bit different, big dollars and not a lot of options.. some faith involved with those signings.

Rumour is that Jacob for example wont be here next year if its Young that is extended, but maybe he's gone whoever it is.. not sure where LPT, Ryan and Toby sit.
