Just fantastic to watch Blacklock and Mundine together in that combined Dragons/Steelers squad. Gee we had some great players then.

Tingha what a player. The other indigenous Dragon I really rated was Ricky Walford, pity national selectors did not.

Yes Ricky was a beauty. I loved his running style.

It’s a loooong time since I’ve watched footage of the Dragons and felt such joy! Thanks for posting that Dave. Should be compulsory viewing for all of us.

I reckon the ability to do backflips and somersaults should be an essential pre-requisite for any potential wing signing for the Dragons.

You are welcome Inverted63. When I came across that YouTube footage of Tingha I thought it was really worth putting on the Forum so that from time to time we can look at it whenever we need to see great tries being scored by a winger. Of course there is so much on YouTube on the Dragons for all to see.

Those backflips and somersaults were classics and Anthony Mundine did quite a few himself (frontflips) especially after Tingha started his flips.

Mundine was a great 5/8th - fantastic acceleration and pace. Not happy of course with the way he treated the Dragons towards the end of his career and joining the Broncos. A good all round sports person though.
