I watched it while I was doing other stuff, most of our tries thru the middles... Reed been good not perfect but good.. takes time to get back into form.. ONeill I dont like him.. feels like he panics and just picks a random option not whats in front of him.. we dont have the class out wide currently so we arent pretty to watch.. in the end a Reed kick to Leilua kind of gave us the buffer to win it wasnt a guarantee... Makasini good god.
I wasnt watching Morkos or Haele close enough to assess em, I mean I saw bits and pieces... but nothing that felt like 'hell yeah' or 'hell nah'.. just whatever.. again rly no class/speed backline movements for us.
Good to get a win though, all about experience to close out the season, possible first grade opportunity maybe for some of em.. or playing for 2027 contracts.

We asked Morks to help out, a few more game and we will talk about a pre season.
Jesse terrible again lost all confidence and feel for the game. Had to swap sides with Morks after letting first 2 in.
Kade looked good still rusty.

Oh yeah... Kerr had 2 tries and laid one on with a great offload after pushing thru the line (it was all his).. def was the difference.. running off reed... again we did basically bash our way thru the middle, very ugly stuff.. that said I dunno if Kerr can do that in 1st grade.. its another level.. but nice to see him having a go with reserves.

its strange our club ... across all grades it appears that the 5th play is to be a kick taken from 10m in from the right touch attempting to box them in the corner.
If you take it back from that the 5th play is a settle into postition to set up for that kick, so the bloke being tackled on the 5th will be closer to the right than left and often (Esp in 1sts) it is gutho or someone taking a one our run into position.
If you assume plays 1/2/3 are kick return and a couple of one out hitups then our only attacking play is our 4th play .. we can attack to the left but we will not go too far because we need to set up for the last, it means that left centre/wing will not come into play unless we are attacking off the back of repeat sets.
So our right side are seemingly going to feature a lot more than our left and we dont say attack with a big shift from deep in our half like teams like Newcastle etc do.
Very structured/disciplined play but if we have poor kick chase or dont get the 6 agains/penalties then we are likely to simply repeat the above ...
Tackled on the kick catch, one out play, one out play, small shift left as far as the edge forward, settle to the right for the last play and then kick straight.
If we start to win field position then we are in a position to attack both sides a little more but getting that position.
