All the players that we are getting are coming from a successful year mostly, maybe not Sami but certainly the rest. The bar needs to be set at top 4 and nothing less. No excuses, absolutely none, if it doesn't happen its all on the players and the coach, what they should be also showing is the loyal fans that go to watch them at home games and the disappointment of their performances. If I have to go through another ANZAC day embarrassment, then I will f$#king spew.

The ANZAC game needs to go back to taking it in turns at each home ground otherwise we give away home advantage every year. I know we usually get a fair few fans there but there is no way we can match their intensity. Enough is enough.

I'd take a top 8 finish after the decade we've gone through, with continued improvement over the next few years.

Nah, we just need to not be shit. We did win 5 in a row ourselves at that stadium not so long ago.

Holy shit that was 14 years ago. Ok so maybe it was way in the past. Still. We can do it

True but what's the point in giving them home advantage every single year? We have more home wins than away wins every year. Therefore willingly giving up a home game makes no sense to me.

Tbh it'd be worse getting belted at our home venue. The venue isn't the issue...
We have had more home wins than away wins in basically every season for the last 10 years apart from 1 where it was the same. How is giving away a home game once every 2 years (thanks Rufus for correcting me) not an issue? It doesn’t make any logical sense.

Irrespective of whether you think we should do better or try harder or whatever there is simply no sense in giving away our home game advantage. It’s just a stupid thing to do. Presumably it’s a financial thing so yet another example of the clever roosters using their financial muscle to help them achieve success.

Prior to that 2020 postponement, all iterations of the annual NRL Anzac Day clash—which began as a regular tradition in 2002—had been played exclusively in Sydney at either Allianz Stadium (Sydney Football Stadium) or the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

But now it's an issue playing at allianz? It's not the stadium, it's the team. Imo the ANZAC day fixture deserves the respect of a world class stadium rather than a run down Kogarah or niche Wollongong. Not everything is a conspiracy.

ANZAC day deserves the respect of a team that isn't continually pumped by 60 pts each year !!!
