Coric was hitting his straps in that last year before he left, a lot like Liu was before he went.. Coric might still make it? No idea how hes going, but has a lot of rep props in front of him @ the broncos, always tohught it was an odd place to go..

Hutchinson im not rly sure what to expect, hes unique though in the way he moves and definitely not ruling him out, its ok for forwards to take a few extra years to grow into their bodies, very few are killing it as teenagers.. but hes in a queue.. Id much prefer that Latu / CST / AFB / Whyte low to the ground, nice and thicc.. Hutchinson probably has a lot of overlap with the couchmans.. but anyway keen to see him get a full year in cup.

That’s a fair point, could get to 22-23 YO and just take the next step but IMO he’s just a worse version of the couchmans in that prototypical workhorse ‘slender’ frame front rower

At least we are starting to churn out some quality young forwards. For a while there it felt like all the young guns stepping up through the ranks were outside backs/Fullbacks or halves

People need to realise these kids like Williams, Hutchinson etc are not ready for 1st grade, just because they have some talent and have played well in a few games or half a season in SGBall, Jersey Flegg, or even in KOE cup doesnt mean they are ready for NRL, totally different beast, same as last year people calling for Lawson to be selected in RD 1 because of some youtube highlights they had seen of him, let them develop in the lower grades.

That's me. I just thought he doesn't have the highlight reel of a Nick T or LPT but he runs hard, tackles well, offloads and passes before the line and does it for a lot of minutes. Seems like there could be a long term NRL player there.

DEMETRIUS KILISIMASI (ROOSTERS > DRAGONS)​

The high-flying Sydney Roosters outside back is now a Dragon after making the switch from the eastern suburbs to the Illawarra.

Originally from New Zealand, the athletic winger and fullback made the move across the Tasman more than three years ago and impressed with affiliate club Central Coast Roosters in their Harold Matthews Cup (under-17s) team, winning their best back award in 2023.

A successful move up to SG Ball (under-19s) soon followed, but Kilisimasi’s progression in the number 1 jersey has stalled behind Rex Bassingthwaighte.

Kilisimasi’s contract for 2026 will see him feature in the Red V’s Jersey Flegg side, but there could yet be an opportunity soon knocking after NSW Cup fullback Cody Ramsey recently made the reverse move out east.

For starters you need to have a Supplementary or Top 30 contract to play before round 12 and I doubt very much that he will play FG in the following rounds.

We are in the position without outside backs in the lower grades as we were with forwards a couple of years ago.

I trust both posters know what they are talking about but seriously, I thought Buchanan at least held his own in the first grade games at the back-end of last season. Dragons have been so conservative about promoting young players. See the Couchman's who spent most of 2024 in reserve grade which was just ridiculous.

I just think a talented 20 year old winger should be a good chance to play NRL.

All this talk about Jesse Williams........ I've been wondering about someone else. Is it "Tom Kirk"? He did his ACL at the beginning of last season and I think had a long-term injury the year before that as well. The big, fast winger, fullback or centre. It's been so long since I saw him play but from memory he had long strides. Like Xaviar Coats rather than Brian To'o. Good aerial skills like Coats as well. I've been wondering if he might surprise a few people next season. Or is he out of the picture now?

TK has been given plenty of time to totally recover and be ready for the season.

Another of the forgotten souls, 4 ACL's last season (that I know of).. horrible longterm injuries.. this one in particular was from a lazy tackle from a ridiculously massive dude that just fell over his legs.. hope he goes good.. probably seeing him as a bit of an Alex Lobb type.. but its too early to really know his potential yet.
