Lachlan Galvin has reportedly turned down a five million contract with the Tigers !

He is 19 years old !

If I was 19 and they offered me a contract like that ?

The Machiavellian Phil Gould has been heaping praise on Galvin, so maybe Grubbies want him—-but what are they willing to pay ?

The Tigers have dropped him from first grade.

If I was a Tigers supporter, I'd be very unhappy about what he has done and would be demanding Benji do what he has done. Drop him immediately and don't give him any more development support other than what the club is contractually bound to do.

I read an upgraded deal for next year was part of the deal.

An immediate upgrade would be impossible for most clubs. The salary cap is already planned out. A small upgrade might be possible but apparently he is already on 300k a season and lives with his parents. Anyway, I hope some clubs throws 1.2 mil a season at him. Preferably Roosters or Grubs. I think he's very much overrated.

He shows potential but not worth the money they are throwing at him. Gus says he will be the highest paid player in NRL history. The salary cap will be raised soon I think due to inflation. Maybe that is why the knights paid Brown such big money. I cannot see Grubbies paying that sort of money. But they still have not offered Sexton a new deal….

I didn't want to say anything but now Just a Mug Fan has already I think I can.
It's an interesting story. Glad this isn't happening at the Dragons. If it did, I'd expect him to be dropped immediately with no possibility of playing first grade. None at all even if it meant JDB had to play halfback.

But there is the entire section or "module" as they call it for this kind of thing. I don't really mind it personally but I believe keeping things on topic makes most people happy. So if no one objects, in the next day or so, I will move it.

However, I don’t think he is coming here because it would be competition for you- know-who.

I don't think competition for him is relevant unless he is coming this year. But he won't be because of this.

Flanno said that? If I were a Tigers fan, I'd be furious. Flanno is coach of a rival club. He has every right to keep quiet about what team the Tigers pick.

But as Gary Jack said it is not up to the players to go to the coach and demand a player be sacked. And a few of them followed it up on social media. That is bullying ! Flanno said Saints are not interested but I hear he is going to Parramatta…
