Josh I think has done his 2025 prospects absolutely no harm with that effort today... I havent seen stats but some are saying over 200m.. seemed like he was out there for 60+ minutes and always big PCM.. not sure if he will have other offers or he will be happy with a NSW Cup contract for a year or so.. I just dunno how we can get another young one into our Top30....

real shame.. the panthers scoring in the 78th minute to win by 2pts.. basically sunk our season, our only chance now is for the 12th place souths side to beat penrith next week.. very very unlikely.. this is a real shame.. raiders surged several times and looked to have the panthers measure..

That has made it hard, if we do make it Si said he will.be fit, he was running in rehab yesterday and so was Suli so he may be back for last round.

If they can't land RCG or Saifiti, maybe could offer Josh the spot.

Been improvement across the board and honestly, from the outside looking in I have a feeling Griffin can be credited for it. I mean, Griffin can be credited for the young players coning through ready or almost ready for FG.

But just not quite there yet. I think there will be just a bit more improvement across the board next year. If FG makes the 8, next year top 4. If a lot of the Illawarra and St George U19s from this year are in Flegg next year, I think it will be a very strong team. And if FG and Flegg is very strong, that pretty much means by default the NSW Cup side will be strong.

Anyway, this year not over just yet.

Do you think Flanno would debut Loko in the next 2 games? I thought no but after today's no showing from middles again, it might be a possibility?

He assumably failed his HIA in the 19th minute.. didnt come back on.. so definitely not playing this weekend.

If the season was dead, id definitely play him against the Raiders in R27 cause why the hell not.. but hes not going to win us any games or anything.. its rly the experienced guys that we need to sort their stuff out this business end othe season. God I hope we can win this one and dont have to start praying for everyone elses results to fall our way.

I'm done with our middles, imo they've had plenty of chances through the years to show more but haven't. I can't see it changing now.

I'm not sure if Loko still classed as junior so could be 2 weeks.
He was out iof it and was funny listening to him trying to remember what happened. He asked me 3 times if he got hit high.

Ah okay. Thanks for the info. Hope the recovery is good for the young man. He seems like a funny character, according to the social media posts anyway...

The Dragons have kept themselves in the hunt for finals with a crucial win over Newtown. Prop Josh Coric and second-rower Dylan Egan got through a mountain of work with Coric recording 216 metres and 32 tackles, while Egan finished with a linebreak, 220 metres and 20 tackles. Savelio Tamale was dynamic on the wing with a try, a linebreak, seven tackle busts and 206 metres — 77 post-contact.

Raymond Faitala-Mariner was dropped to NSW Cup for the first time this season and proved he’s simply too good for the grade, notching up a try assist, a linebreak assist and 170 metres. He also made 26 tackles with no misses.

The Dragons take on the Eels on Saturday and can book a spot in finals with a win — if Penrith lose and the Bulldogs lose or at best win by a narrow scoreline.

must confess ive bagged rfm on last weekends performance, he didnt seem to make many metres or have intensity in running them.. but 170m is ok.. though dont they say u halve that for 1st grade equivalent.. so 85m equivalent. He is a bench option this week though, but I reckon Marshke is the 14 we should take in (if hes feeling up to it).

Stats like that can also be misleading. A few weeks ago, or maybe a couple of months ago, Tom Eisenhuth was put into a gap by JDB, all he had to do was catch and run, and ran for about 40m. Then he took an offload, I think from Luciano and he did palm off one would be defender but again ran for about 40m, Apart from that barely fired a shot but still ended up with about 150m run.

Missed tackles are another. Often a defender drops off on purpose to get back into position if the runner is contained by someone else. That's registered as a missed tackle.

But I still think there are a couple of NSW Cup forwards who might be better in the middle than Lawrie. TBH, Lawrie doesn't even bend the line these days. I'm sorry to see his form/ability has dropped so much but it is what it is.

Kyan Hjaltason out suspended,
There is a lot of players lucky to keep their spot due to lack of players and last round.

Last game, 49 missed tackles plus 18 ineffective including 10 missed tackles from TPH alone.
Highest run metres for a forward was 81m

o Sides look very similar to last week bar those late inclusions with Sione and NickT, but that NSW Cup side will know if its season is over before there game.. I reckon Panthers losing Souths is a 10% proposition.. so sadly they likely fall just short. Would love to see NickT get his run though.

o Jersey Flegg, how did TPH miss 10 tackles from fullback? I think its just finish the season and lets move on.. no point stuffing around.. unless they wanted to throw Reed or someone in for a week..

TPH did tackling practice with Sloan and Matt Feagai.

Nice to see Ward, Buchanan and Stewart in. Also hope you're right about Nick T. I presume he'll replace Shereb. Or maybe Purcell with Sione in Haele back to the bench.

Hope they make it but I realise they probably won't. To have NSW Cup and NRL in the finals would be a huge boost for the club.
