Ward 20yo will be Flegg again next year.
I think he and Quinn have been poor back end of the year. I don't see them in our plans moving forward. I don't thnk he is much quicker than LKT, who has shown some pace when in clear.

I rate Kade and Shadi above them.

Shadi has really come on this year, was very dominant in the halves, has matured alot, will be good to see all 3 how they perform next year, the next lot of halves coming through after Shadi/Ward/Quinn look more talented. pathways going in the right direction, we will see these kids(Forwards/Backs) coming through in 2026, maybe even late 2025

Would've liked to see a backrow of Egan and Nick but now it's Russell's last game, he deserves to run as C.
Russell was actually one of our best last year. No frills second rower. Good captain for the NSW Cup team. Too bad their form easier in the year wasn't better.

Now 20 yet Ward to play another year of Flegg? Other clubs are playing 20yr olds in Firsts. Ward has been very good in the two Flegg matches I have watched him, had a blinder in one dominating everything. He is a tuff little dude too, not missing a game to my knowledge. I say keep him in Ressies and perhaps the odd top game next year to prepare him for when Hunt finally pisses off.

Did you see this? https://sgiforum.com/threads/nsw-cup-and-jersey-flegg-2024.320/post-32632
I'm all for Flanno not being so cautious about playing 19 or 20 year-olds or even 18 year-olds but no way I'd consider playing Ward in first grade now. Needs to put on over 10kg while retaining his speed over the first 10 metres.

No way I said that, Ressie next year with an introduction to Firsts, then start him in '26.
I think Thurston, Hunt, DCE all only started regular first grade when they were 22~24. Cleary and Moses were exceptions not the norm. But Ward has a lot of competition coming up from a few younger halves.

That will come with the more gym work he does. All the best halves were rather scrawny before they bulked up. Take Cleary for instance. Still little blokes like Langer, Toovey, Sterling never really piled on the muscle yet still had successful careers.
