v Rabbitohs at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Sydney

Rd 2: Saturday, February 24
v Tigers at Glen Willow Oval, Mudgee

Club news: Ben Hunt returned to pre-season training three weeks early on Tuesday and took part in an on-field session with the team under new coach Shane Flanagan. It’s a huge sign of commitment for the club after the star halfback requested a release from the last year of his contract. Desperate to turn the fortunes of the club around, ex-Sharks mentor Flanagan is eager to show he’s actively improving the team, and has been linked to several new signings over recent weeks including Warriors star Addin Fonua-Blake. On Tuesday they announced Tom Eisenhuth had joined the club from Melbourne on a one-year deal for 2024, a deal reported by this masthead last week.

Really looking forward to seeing what they can do. 2 seasons it was barely a trickle of young players coming through. Last season it was a healthy flow. In the next 2 seasons it looks set to become a flood!
