Pretty much followed our season blueprint. Start slowly, bounce back in the middle, finish poorly. Another DISAPPOINTING season.

While Sloan doesn't score tries like Allan did, he can score them and has scored more than any other in the team in 2025 and today, his defence hasn't been too bad. Allan won't be with us next year.

He's an ok backline utility but probably superflous to our needs going forward. With Buchanan and hopefully a couple more young outside backs joining the squad full time. Like Charles Heidke, Tom Kirk was injured early in the year but had pretty big wraps and Jesse Williams is already confirmed on a train and trial deal. Though I'm not too sure what that means. He has a chance to push his way into the squad but more likely a supplementary deal.

Sloans defence is just too bad for mine. Even today he gifted them 2 tries. Wish it wasn't so but it is what it is. In my view anyway.

Read Sloan was NRL second top scorer. Knows how to sniff out a try but just wont put his body on the line when saving them. Sione Finau did but naturally WE LET HIM GO.

Yes. I could see that too. When they went up a gear they scored. If we led them by 12 we would have been run down. They are an experienced finals club now, well and truly so beware all of the others in the finals, the Panthers will be running riot. Their first elimination match against the Warriors in Auckland will be a win to them and advance to the next elimination match and the Warriors eliminated.
We didn't do too badly under the circumstances but letting them score in the dying moments of both halves took the sting out of things. Take those 12 points away and our loss would have looked a lot better on the scoreboard.
We will be a completely different team, with more positive attitudes and better team. Of course we need to make some serious changes in several positions and that is what Flanno has really got to work hard on. Next year is a win or bust year for him.

Look at our injury list compared to theirs. Do they have a single one of their best 17 out for an extended period. I know To'o and Martin were basically rested.

Yes, the tries would be unlimited. So he just needs to have a good club pick him up and we then can see him score all of those tries with another team. That would make me puke.

Exactly, that is why I said we didn't do too badly. No injuries to our players mean they can all have a great Mad Monday - they deserve it. Now I can't wait for the new season to start so that I will be able to see us bigger, stronger and better for 2026. Winning in Las Vegas against our enemy Dogs will be a great result moving forward.
We need to have fewer long term injuries next year.

I'd have kept Allan and jettisoned Feagai. This guy has a charmed life. Hearing RFM, Blocka and Mike Molo, who I say has been treated shabbily, will be leaving. No mention of Vili Fifita. Do we now wanna keep him. He has been powerful in Ressies, his PCMs are incredible, is making less silly mistakes and playing decent mins too.
