All the attention on Halangahu and LPT, I forgot all about Liu. Is Mike Molo injured as well? Some incredible depth to be missing 4 top quality forwards yet still field a team as good as this.

That's the problem. Too many good reserve graders, not good enough for first grade. But it will be good to see which of all these young forwards are promoted to the first grade squad next year.

That's true but I was more thinking about the depth of young forwards who have just graduated from Jersey Flegg, if not SG Ball.

Just a question of how many of them can excel in first grade as well. The track record of the last several years in guys excelling in the lower grades but being very poor in first grade is depressing. I think this current batch is going to be different.

I guess with the number of players out for the Dragons, it would be an upset but not a big upset. Anyone know how Warriors are traveling in regard to injuries?

As long as they give a good showing of themselves I'll be happy RVH, you just never know the wahs might go in there thinking its a walk over, but I doubt it considering we beat them last time. Anyway good luck to all the boys and please no more injuries !!!

The gap between this team and our first grade is so close. There are only 4 or 5 first graders whose dropping would make news. Or were last season. 2 of them are hookers. The other 3 would be Holmes, JDB and Su'a. I wouldn't agree with that. Egan and Stewart were so good but they aren't big enough names yet to make the news if they were dropped for Tsougranis and Halangahu.

JDB won't. But yeah, I get what you are saying. Tsougranis, Halangahu, Stewart, Egan will all be in the thick of first grade action next year.

I know it is second grade, but it is good to see a Dragons team playing in September. I am also hopeful that a number of the up and commers will progress and replicate the success of the 1977 Dragons team.
