I'd say 1 or 2 but basically agree. It looks like those top players will have to come from within. There are a few candidates. The prop Tonga for one. The centre Buchanan another. A lot of hype among those who really know what they are talking about around the halfback Kade Reed and centre Charlie Heidke. A bit down the track yet, the 5/8 Jasais Ah Kee though if we have to wait for him, it's going to be a couple of miserable years.
If I was after players and if available, I'd be going all out to build a team around these players , Pezet and Ethan Strange , or Metcalf from the Warriors ........ We just don't seem interested as I think Pezet is available if so I'd thow everything at him .......... Anyway that's just me ........
Pezet's manager, Braith Anasta apparently ruled out the Dragons. But it really seems the club is pinning it's hopes on Kade Reed. They don't seem to be chasing Metcalf who would be a no-brainer otherwise.
His manager has been a very vocal critic of Flanno and the club in general.
I didn't see Anasta come out and say what a great game Illias had in the GF, I'm sure there would have been a few more people learn the art of Illias, which is non existent, I wont be forgiving Cook for a while for recommending him.
If so make him an offer that he can't refuse .........

There is no way Anasta could tell Pezet not to accept a big offer from any club, even if it was from the Dragons. I haven't heard boo out of him since the KOE GF, where his beloved son was f#@king terrible and to make things worse , Boyd who is on probably less money made him look ordinary.
Boyd has been a stand out. Ilias should never have been signed by the Club but they never learn. Cook recommended him to Flanno and so I'm glad that Cook isn't one of our scouts or on the recruitment roster.
When the Melbourne prop bombed that try early in the second half, I had a feeling something bad was going to happen. At least Hunt was knocked out. Softens the blow a little.
