Whatever the drama was with him, its all been cleared, making an assessment for this weekend.
From a technical point of view, as far as we know, he could be starting at fullback. Up until 24 hours prior to the game, any of the 22 named players can be in the final 19. In fact, any of them can start. The same applies to the updated list of 20 players that is released 24 hours prior to kick off. Finally, 1 hour before the game, the starting side will be finalised, as will the 6 man bench. If JDB is on the 6 man bench, we won't know he is not playing until Parra use their 4th sub and he hasn't been used. (Even then, he could be activated as 18th man given certain HIA events.)
In reality, he is unlikely to play.

Young St George Illawarra prop Loko Pasifiki Tonga is expected to return to play just a few weeks after being hospitalised with a neck injury.

On Kayo this morning, they kept showing the try Matt Dufty scored in the round 8, 2019 comp between the Eels and Dragons. A great try but unfortunately we lost on that day. Bastard. I do hope that our guys can hold on for a win today against those slippery eels.

Ok people, this is it, this is supposedly where our season begins according to some. I will keep this brief, win today and the pressure comes off a little, lose and there will be pile on from all directions. And I dont want a win that we just got over the line, even though I'll take anything, we want a solid win and performance , if these are the teams we are supposed to put away, then lets do it. Losing to Parra today is not an option, go the Dragons !!!
