KK happy just to get the money and the long term deal. He will go through the motions like most overpaid players get when they come to the Dragons. Su'A isn't that much in my opinion. Hardly makes a break, misses tackles and not a good passer of the ball. I would prefer a rangier person in the back row who can dominate and split the defence and set up the centre.

Lets not write off KK before he even gets here. He's much more talented than Su'A who has given all he has got for us but the fact is, whether the best he's got vs Egan, Halangahu and others coming through the grades, almost ready for first grade is debatable.

Would you prefer Su'A on 800k or Egan on 400k allowing us to spend an extra 400k locking up Reed and Burton long term?

Honestly, I'm not sure Su'A is worth a cent more than Egan. That's not to say I don't rate Su'A but I do rate Egan.

Don’t think we were too fussed about Sua. Mug said before Egans extension that the next couple extensions would outline the direction we would take or something along those lines. Sua is 30 next year, we’ve had a good track record of letting aging forwards go at the right time in the past. Just hope we can get some clarity around Shane’s position for future signings because it would make it an even tougher sell for potential recruits/ juniors who don’t know who the coach will be.

Heres one, obviously we have issues with outside backs, why dont we target Tago/Jenkins from the panthers? both off contract - Tago playing reggies. Surely could get him out for this year too.

Rumours that Luciano wants to leave also.. I feel like if they stay here its in the middle.. might be the making of him or Sua.. but they probably dont want to make that move... so if they go to another club they might get a spot on the edge..

Sele maybe if we are desperate enough that we cant land other forwards that we extend him another year.. depends on his options.. he is a 1st grader but so rarely do we get full games out of him. We need to sort out this big name coach asap and change the narrative around us for 2027.. or we wont keep anyone who has another option.

In saying that I genuinely believe we have a number of young forwards that can take both his and Su'a place next season. Its a natural progression to give a start to those forwards. My 2027 pack would look like this:

Couchman's are much better in the middle than on an edge. Halangahu #11, R. Couchman bench, Kerr on the moon or anywhere but the Dragons team.

Sele is also off contract and has next to no chance of being extended.
