Damien Cook has shown this year despite his age he can still hang with the best, and many consider his replacement Jacob Liddle as deserving of a starting spot. Despite a rocky start to the season, both Cook and Liddell have developed a great one-two punch and are interchangeable with who starts. The club also has Haele Finau in their NSW Cup side if needed to be called on.Weakness – Fullback
Clint Gutherson gives it his all in the No.1 jersey every week, but if the club had another option it would allow the ageing player into another position. With the game as quick as it is, the Dragons are desperate for speed out the back, but apart from Gutherson the club does not have a ready-made fullback to replace him.Desperate need – Fullback
It’s something that needs to change now. Move Gutherson closer to the ball as a half or lock and unleash some speed out the back. With whatever money the Dragons have left in their cap, use it to find a fullback – and find it fast.Conclusion: Shallow

That backline wouldn't scare too many competitive top 8 teams. Too many edge players and LPT has to be in the 17 to give us size and youth in the bookends, imagine him coming on after Toby did the 25 min softening up period
Nick is back after the bye, round 10
Not bad, but once Flanno is flicked I'd like to see Luciano move into the front row rotation and Egan into the back row, and LPT in the 17 with Halangalu. Nick T as backup and getting some gametime at some point.

I'd also be tempted to let Su'A go early and use Egan, Halangahu, Tsurogranis as the first choice second rowers.

Hmm. Good point. I think I'd go T. Couchman. He leads from the front and is emotionally connected to our area. I think we need to rip the bandaid off and go with the future.
Also, just like Flanno, I forgot about LPT. I'd have him in for Kerr. If liddle could play 80mins then I wouldn't pick cook and have someone like nick t.

We've got good quality depth in the pack. Can rotate the younger players to keep em fresh. Out with the old and in with the new. Then next year the likes of Egan and maybe even halangahu could be 60+ min players.

Not a bad idea but it seems Liddle can't play 80min. He could probably play 60 and do something like a makeshift hooker for 10min either side of halftime. You know, like what Flanno said Kyle was recruited for!

Random rumour in the other forum that manly and us r trying to execute an immediate player swap.. Maybe nothing, but it's fun trying to work out who..
My thought is guler or Lawrie for 6mths, they need middles.. And we would rather play young ones I imagine now.. Doubt it would be Kerr..
And in return maybe a faster back.. 7 or 1 would be ideal but unlikely you would think?
