You would think if we pay about half his salary, Val can get a 2 or 3 year deal in the ESL. I guess we are stuck with Gutho. I never imaged this. Where they would consistently be two of our worst. But this is the reality.

I hope young Reed isn't affected mentally as a result of throwing him into 1st grade too early. What did you think about O'Neil effort in ressies yesterday? Is he available if needed? I hate to say this but it would appear Flanagan needs to come back or is it all over for him?

Buchanan went alright yesterday our best player in ressies were the fb and our hb in attacking creativity. I love the way the coach has this team playing even though it is a step down from 1sts

Recruitment and retention has been soooo bad for the past 5-10 years
With additional teams being added it will be very very difficult to improve the side.
It would help junior morale instantly if we were to give LPT & Halangahu bigger minutes
Need to pay extra to maintain Coachman’s and extend LPT.
Tsougranis would make a better fist of Centre than Val Holmes and Suli.
He is more agile and can be explosive.
Atkinson to right Centre or Fullback.
Gutho to 14.

Thats bizzare, the dragons have been good to the whole family, giving Toa a job with St george, Luka in ISHS, helping them move down to the gong. I see it as more of a threat than anything.

Toza was never given a job with St George. He volunteers with Junior reps and is a truck driver for a living.

Need to appoint a head coach ASAP (ASAP after doing due diligence) to smooth things over with these young forwards. I know Gular for example is a prop and Halangahu is a backrower but surely there could be some reshuffle to allow Jake top play much longer at Gular's expense.

Not sure whats going on there.. tbh I dont think Jacob is that dangerous as a 2nd rower in a game where we need to score points.. hes more of a middle probably.. but is he as good as the other options? Hes a good year younger even LPT.. but.. I would like him to get 20-25mins maybe per game every game.. but maybe it makes no difference to him staying either way? He's prob got offers from a tonne of clubs coming on Nov 1.

I think early on in the game one of players got hit late by trey mooney, I think Tu but none of our players remonstrated. Like the seniors need to show some fight. Imo it was a professional foul but regardless stand up for your team mate. Happened soo many times this year and last year.

Oh we are indeed. One of our greats imho. Some saying he left us at correct time, he was of the view there was another yr left for him in the RedV, I agreed. What chance of bringing him home, if not to play, to be our defensive guru...

He is, you obviously missed him at his best in Ressies before his promo with a carry that convinced me he belongs in the middle. Busted thru the opposition with sheer power then thundered downfield and when collared used his tree trunk leg drive to bust em again and barn storm for a further 20m. Their defense was shot to pieces and we scored next set. The only minor criticism was he needed to offload after the later run. Hopefully second phase is in his future armory. Another reason why we need him is he has the makings to be our future captain, having successfully skippered numerous under age teams..

Val has played injured, same as Atkinson and Young confirmed that Val got injured in the first half but played on..

Come on mate. I get the 1 year older thing but there’s no way at the start of the season that we’d be sitting here after 10 rounds consistently ripping our hair out about Gutho and Holmes week after week
