Hard going listening to Gus's podcast today.. he was acting like it was the first time he had heard about the situation with Metcalf.. his status.. his form.. his injuries.. whether he had played this year already.. hes such a d*ck. Hes leaving for Brisbane today has a tonne of meetings apparently.
He's also switched his narrative this last month, keeps reminding listeners how long the path out will be for the dragons, how irresponsible it is to play young players.. how poorly it worked out for Kade on Anzac day..

wow.. I wonder if some of this came off us perhaps sounding out Wallace as a coaching option? Or maybe we are irrelevant.. and its always been the path they were taking...
It is annoying though cause its gonna displace someone like a Robbo or whoever, but we cant wait that long, we will have to choose from who's available in the months to come.

Reckon we have to pay 200-300k more than rival offers to get metcalf? E.g. dogs offered is 1mil/yr and ours 1.2?

depends how desperately it has to be 'him', multiple buyers always changes the conversation unfortunately when it comes to price..
maybe a cheaper guy like Croft or some other is better use and maybe lower risk of injury.. but Metcalf is a marquee.. more than the player himself.. its another big step up our rebuild ladder... and we do need good PR.

If Metcalf is on 900k at Warriors and he wants Sydney again, then I would think it will be the same with them chipping in 200k say? For 2027 and 28
