Every little bit (of usefulness to the team) helps.Agree but it’s not changing our results if we had JDB instead of Kerr
If those players at Manly weren't tanking Dave just to get rid of Siebold i'll eat my hat. What we have seen from Foran is his great knowledge of how league is best played. The results that he has achieved is just uncanny seeing that he has not done any coaching let alone Head Coaching.
He is an inspirational person and looks to me to have the credentials to have a long and successful future as a Head Coach. If Manly don't sign him up long term, they would be stupid.
I don't like Hornby coming to us via assisting Bennett and Demetriou. Not one assistant of Bennett has done great things as the Head Coach taking over from Bennett- I might be wrong in saying that though as there is one person going great guns at the moment and that is Kristian Woolf of the Dolphins so maybe the "hoodoo" is changing?
Hornby I think does have a very good aptitude and potential to be a good head coach - putting aside that "after Bennett hoodoo". Now that I think about it, that hoodoo relates to assistant coaching at the club Bennett leaves rather than a club coached by another person like we have had in Flanagan and Young, so it won't be a succession, it will be a new Club. So forget that hoodoo and sign up Hornby quick smart.![]()
Agree you can see that at Parra JDB is struggling, not as much as Kerr who is just an uninspired waste of space.Agree but it’s not changing our results if we had JDB instead of Kerr
This is true, but I think it would have made a difference if the footy was more like 2024 or 2025.. this 2026 stuff seems to have exposed and broken our backline.. that plus maybe Gutho is 12mths past being the x-factor in creating points (which doesnt come from our halves).. I think thats whats sunk us.. JDB was good at turning a game also with a run or defence.Agree but it’s not changing our results if we had JDB instead of Kerr
Jake is 19 years and 264 days.but isnt he still 19 perhaps 20 now.
Is a keep. a priority I hear.Luciano?
His heart isnt in it mate. He is RedV in heart and soul and like him I reckon he'd have had a successful swan song yr with us.. I seem to be on my own on this point tho..Agree you can see that at Parra JDB is struggling
So do I on both countsLuciano?
Hope it's not Hornby. I've really come to like the idea of the Roosters assistant coach Cheika.
Tim Watsford said he was chasing a couple of quality outside backs. Who is the other?Club is keen on Farnworth and he believes its 80% done
Plural, so Tim Watsford does not see Luce or Dylan as our edgies going forward. Interesting.I think we're looking at second rowers,
Oh yes. Other is out of Nikora and Preston for mine.Hudson Young
I read that too. Add Drinky and an agile pivot and we are gonna have a very pacy spine. If Toby is the fastest prop expect his twin Ryan is too.For the full season, Metcalf was the fastest half, Couchman the fastest prop, and Jacob Liddle the fastest hooker.
How is he seen as a superior choice to Young. So looks like Cheika has knocked us back. He'd have made a big difference for us imho.Hornby as HC next year
Yes, that looks the case Justa. Siebold didn't appear to be capable of working with the players and Manly could see that and sent him packing. If those players at Manly weren't tanking Dave just to get rid of Siebold i'll eat my hat.
No I agree RVH but he had a year and wanted 2, we have heaps of youngsters wanting a chance and the rest is history. Hindsight now is would have been a much better option than Kerr. It's hard to say what the club was thinking, maybe they were also keen to move him on, maybe he will never escape the stories that followed him, who knows. Would still like to see him come back as a tackling coach but maybe the club doesn't want that either. His heart isnt in it mate. He is RedV in heart and soul and like him I reckon he'd have had a successful swan song yr with us.. I seem to be on my own on this point tho..
Our front office has changed but the Board is largely in tact with the same nongs stinking up everything they touch mate.Would still like to see him come back as a tackling coach but maybe the club doesn't want thet either.
