Your probably correct and that's sadPersonally I think it’s a whole lot of fluff. It’s either Young or Hornby and more than likely Young

We could all have a guess but I don't think that the third guy wants it known just to save himself any embarrassment when he doesn't get the gig. They said it is down to three. We do not know who the third candidate is….
There hasn't been any word or any indication they have given anyone bar Deano and Hornby a chance. Now they are throwing in some mysterious QLDer to make it seem they haven't only given the two of them a chance. We could all have a guess but I don't think that the third guy wants it known just to save himself any embarrassment when he doesn't get the gig.
He's going to have had about 2/3rds of a season as interim head coach. How much of a chance is that? Against Newcastle without Ponga and then against Canberra, the attack was about as bad as it gets. That is how much Deano has been able to improve the team in close to half a season. It’s Hornby or Young
Selecting Young would set us back 2-3 years in my opinion but I would give him a fair chance
He said "I hope he gets the job" unlike our former marquee MR Bunt/ Griffin![]()
Drinkwater makes call on who he wants as Dragons’ next coach
“He’s a great coach and I hope he gets the job.”www.zerotackle.com
I just feel in my gut that Deano will be the permanent head coach of the Dragons. There is the talk that Young has great rapport with the players and they are liking his coaching ways and is easy to talk to. The feeling is that they really are happy playing under him.
As far as I can see, they, the would be decision makers, are just letting things run their course until they are stuck with Deano and then they will say "there were no other worthwhile guys available and as Deano has had more of a feel at coaching the squad and the players have unified in the period that Deano has been the interim coach and that most players want him to be their coach, we have decided to make Deano an offer which he has accepted with open arms". There is just no significant transparent info from the club and that the "third" applicant might just be a furphy. Just my opinion. There hasn't been any word or any indication they have given anyone bar Deano and Hornby a chance. Their idea of looking far and wide is a guy already running the joint, an old boy down the road a bit and some mysterious figure from QLD who they seem to have conjured up just to make it look they haven't decided on one of the 2.There hasn't been any word or any indication they have given anyone bar Deano and Hornby a chance. The only thing saving him is the forwards are just about playing as well as they can but the backs are horrible, cant get blood out of a stone. There hasn't been any word or any indication they have given anyone bar Deano and Hornby a chance. Yes Deano has had plenty of chances to show how he coaches split between two clubs as assistant and interim head coach over several years. Success rate poor. Him being more of a defence coach has not been great. They can't say they picked him because of results so this opinion seems very plausible. I have nothing against Deano. I hope he does well. I really do. But he's had ample chance, due to his standing in the game and his dad, and failed miserably thus far. Those are the FACTS! No opinion there.
