Kyle won't find another club, not even in the ESL. He needs to be offered a severance package. Something like half his remaining contract to walk away. If he doesn't accept it, he should report to work every day to fetch the ball for reserve grade training, mow the lawns, wipe the windows and etc. I'd usually hate any club to psychologically bully a player in such a way but he knows as well as everyone else he didn't get a contract on merit. It was his dad only caring about what was good for Kyle rather than what was good for the club and team.

Haha. No way. No professional organisation bar the tigers would do this but I get your sentiment. I think he'll be the cup hooker/14. I think Perth might offer him a contract depending on their roster come Nov.1.

It's highly unprofessional but so were the circumstances in which he was signed and extended.

Flanagan in my view is a 1st grader. He is not an organiser or game manager and certainly lacks attacking nouse. Originally signed as a 14 played 6/7, not ideal but that was his job.

Now he is a very good defender, last week the Sharks targeted his edge more than LKT edge. He made 25 tackles missed 0, tgats impressive, that definitely helped us win that game.

LKT is entirely a different player, runs the ball becoming more aggressive and confident, finally learning not to run sideways but straight also helped us win that game in an attacking sense. Made 17 tackles, missed 3 not really a pass mark in my view.

Attacking wise, chalk and cheese, between the two of them. Flanagan ran once LKT ran 8 times.

I don't know where Flanagan fits into the 17 , I doubt he makes it but at least we have depth now.

Kyle like all of our players are starting to improve as individuals under Deano and his assistants in my opinion. They have become more confident and appear more content because they are given more free rein to do as they know what is best as a team working together now and have a strong belief in Deano. The improvement began slowly when Deano took charge but I think that the improvement has risen a lot steeper and will be even better as the weeks and years go on with this virtually young team and future players that our pathways players closely being watched and nurtured by DA and Coaches.

Don't be fooled, 5 games v 5 years, we need better players, we need to be better, Sloan is not part of that.

Agree Mug he has been crap mostly with a poor attitude. I also wanted him out. We do need to be better. For next year will we be able to afford better unless we sell off current contract players, Gutho Atko or Kyle, then yes I would love us to get 2 very good centre/ winger to complete a fantastic 2027 Recruitment and Retention drive.

just because he has a contract doesnt mean we need to play him ... Kerr in Cup works for me.

The cap balance is a little out of whack if we have Kerr/Gutho consuming dollars but potentially not being effectively used ... just gotta be happy that the kids who just extended beyond 2027 are hopefully still on unders for next season giving a massive performance per dollar boost to counter the sinks in gutho/kerr/suli etc
