If Sloan stays it pretty much guarantees Holmes @ left ctr.. and then right ctr is between Gutho, Atko, Buchanan, Suli, Fale or someone we are yet to sign.. they arent great odds for Gutho or Atko being in the starting 17.. means they are likely seat warming as #18 or #19.. they wont want that... either of them.

Much has been said about Sloan and we all know his good and bad points. His weaknesses have stood out over the years but there is something that has me thinking that with his deep love of the Club, his new determination of taking the ball up harder, scoring most tries in firsts, becoming bigger and stronger all over, can be a good back up for the full back position if Drinky cops an injury, playing much better on the wing and is one player that can run the field to score a try, the Dragons could offer him a counter deal that sees him renege on his deal with the Castleford Tigers and remain a StGI Dragons. Anything is possible. Just have to wait and see if he actually flies off to Pommie land.

I think it was on this forum I read a deal could be made, or could've been made if Suli left but seems Suli is digging his heels in and Sloan will be jetting off to the UK for preseason training. I think he's gone, for better or worse. It's a shame he left it so late to start tackling much better and running much harder and being an all-round much better winger.

Well there is always a chance he can come back after a couple of years, will probably have improved again, no doubt he'll kill it in SL.
