Who gives a f*ck stop whinging about old times! We have the best squad we have had in probably 8 years with a coach who is unknown just fucken look forward to it!

The last time I checked public forums encourage general conversation by anyone no matter what topic or opinion. Just because you dont like it doesn't mean the rest of us dont. I for one like talking about the f$#kups the club has made and hope we never make them again, its actually part of our history that we are conversing about. The answer is simple for you, if you dont like what you are reading then move to another thread. So if we talk about how we won in 2010 under Bennett would you consider that whinging ?

He's a good coach. Does anyone doubt that? All I'm saying is he left Newcastle in a very bad situation.

Thats because Tinkler went broke mate, nevertheless he's still doing alright at Souths.

Then again, he could have agreed to an extension or signed on for another 3:years.
If he'd wanted 5 years so badly, wouldn't the 3-year contract tabled by us have been a deal-breaker at the start?

I think there was talk that they didn't want to risk the extra years because of his age, so whilst we were umming and ahhing, Tinkler slid in and the rest is history. Anyway lets hope DY smacks him next time we play Souths

Mate I agree with you on this one, it has nothing to do with it, simply like as in some other threads we have gone off topic, but hey what else have we got atm, btw I hope DY does great and yes he wont have a better chance with the team he has got.

I believe he was hired by us and Newcastle to win a premiership. He was hired by the Dolphins to set the foundation for long-term success. He won our premiership, just came up short at Newcastle and seems to have done a good job setting up the Dolphins for long-term success.

Though I don't have any special warm feelings for him. He was hired to do a job for us, did it and left and has been a rival ever since. I don't have any sympathy for any rivals. Not even old boys like Trent Barrett, Ben Hornby, Brett Morris, Jason Ryles. They are rivals and that's that as far as I'm concerned. I'd be happier for every one of them to preside over a disastrous season and get sacked than see success.

IMO the best coach now is Ivan Cleary.

It is off topic but it is the off season. I don't know what jodragon40 thinks but IMO it's not such a big issue.

As for Deano, I was very much against his appointment. He definitely doesn't have the runs on the board and an assistant or interim head coach. But he definitely played a part in the 4 forwards extending so that was a big plus. He and Dan Anderson seem to be assembling a very decent team. So now it's up to Deano. Lets see how he goes.
