Round 23 vs Cronulla Sharks

The guys a smart player , what he lacks in speed is made up between the ears .........
He doesn't even lack speed for a 5/8. Still has to be a bit better in defence and play like yesterday on a consistent basis. Also needs to keep working on his long kicking even though he should only be the back up kicker for the halfback. I'd say he is well on his way to being Dragons 5/8 for the next 10 years.

I posted this is the wrong thread.
How sweet it was to finally get a local derby win over my much disliked Sharks and at our spiritual home too, but after our poor start with a loose carry by Allan then Sloan robbed of a spectacular try saver and a penalty try given, I was thinking oh no not again losing to these bludgers. But then as if by channeling that renowned Dragons spirit, LKT splits the line and the game changes as the Shonkies then knew we were gonna be no pushover. That play by the 5/8 and his sublime pass in the 50th min showed us the kid is maturing and it was the correct call to extend him. Reckon we can expect big things from him moving forward..
As good as LKT was, the win was off the back of mistake free footy, in your face defense and a powerhouse engine room led by Jack, Luch, Klemmer, even Blocker turned back the clock. If only we had played this kinda footy more consistently, we'd definitelt be in the playoffs
As for our two debutants, Hayden did his job, even scoring his first NRL try, but wondering whether he is too small for an outside back, while Jake was not given much time to impress. We will see more field time from him next year.

A bit of nostagia at the break with Dragons and Shonkie oldies having a fun game of touch footy.
Like us to keep this jumper for our away matches, more style.
