Bottom line is Flanno has been really bad so far. Worse than McGregor, worse than Griffin. We’re going to end up bottom 4
Another shit show season

The injury excuse is wearing thin. Look at Souffs position on the table despite their very well documented injury problems.Wow we sure did play like a bottom 4 side, oh hang on, we are !!!
Oh yes brilliant, just brilliant, finishing off with a penalty try, can someone please end this season !!!

He would have been dropped for sure if Sele, Couchmans, Egan weren't out for most of the season.Yes, but surely you don’t reward him by starting him in first grade if he isn’t at an optimal weight
most of the blame should be on the coaching staff
He has ball skill, more than I can say for Sele, Egan and prob Ryan C.He would have been dropped for sure if Sele, Couchmans, Egan weren't out for most of the season.
No way! 12th or 13th. Better than 15th.Just thinking, and a lot of you will laugh at me when I say that if Ben Hunt was playing with us this year, we would have finished 11th. Hahahaha!
It's been a hard season but iI think there are a number of positives to take from it. There are always positives but I think more this year than the last few years. Or last several years. To Top things off , both our lower grades got blitzed by the dogs. Now then, there are no excuses, or at least no more than any other team has. So we just about finish this year so far with 2 hidings, and await Penrith. The Dragons fans are tired, we're tired of the same bullshit, no matter who the players are or who the coach is, we're tired. We have months now , AGAIN, of running around the recruitment train hoping for something to happen, another year gone, another year of frustration, another year of desperation. As far as positives go, hope our juniors that have been subjected to this shit show dont think that this is now the norm, who could blame them if they did. I wait for those famous words coming from our PC.
When you get smacked by 40 pts 2 weeks in a row, those positives are looking pretty grim, there is always such a thing as pride and respect in the jumper, last week there was neither and today was definitely neither. Its fine to give out the accolades when they deserve it but its also fine to paste them after certain performances. That defense tonight was piss poor and embarrassing, no matter who you are, you put on a Dragons jumper with the big red V, then a certain level of commitment is expected, as a matter of fact its demanded. We are now 3rd last on the ladder heading towards a -150 pts differential. Until I see all these so called positives running around next year with us competing to a NRL level week in week out, there is no guarantee, I hope there is, but for the moment we are a shit show and we are embarrassing. It's been a hard season but iI think there are a number of positives to take from it. I like glass half full people it's just I sometimes think they are deluding themselves. Call a spade a spade. Flanno has taken this team backward. I'm not in favour of dumping him and I understand though don't agree with the extension but DA has to put the foot down and Watsford needs to tell Flanno, DA makes the final decision regarding recruitment and retention. It's been a hard season but iI think there are a number of positives to take from it. I think the game against the Sharks and Canberra was like a false dawn where people(myself included) thought we may have just started to turn a small corner and yet weeks later here we are, worse off than last year. It's a results driven sport and we are a shit show, work it out.I like glass half full people it's just I sometimes think they are deluding themselves. Call a spade a spade. It's true but your mistake is thinking these mistakes happen in a bubble. They more than often don't. Comes about as a result of the team this coach has mostly put together. Of today's team only Sloan and JDB weren't signed or extended under Flanno. The reason we had that good run against good opponents in recent months, is we cut out the dumb errors and started completing at 85-95%... and unfortunately we beat ourselves tonight like we were doing earlier in the year.. well.. that plus a few moments from guys like Koula.. what an absolute freak he is.. would pay him a mill to come be our fullback.. turns 23 next month.
Thought with 3 forward back it would be a real point of difference for us tonight, but Jack didnt seem quite himself, Sua didnt either (which tbf he has had a long injury), Jacob is doing really well.. but im not still quite sure he has the speed for 2nd row (offensively), I mean we easily could have won the game but need a lot of luck.. and Manly are very beatable... but just feels like the air went out last weekend, and not sure we will be able to get it back against a side like the panthers next week.
Cup feel like the air is out also, but tbf it could be a really different side that rolls out next week... and again the week after that.
Would love some news about recruitment soon.. dieing for a kill or 2.. something to spring some optimism about the year to come.
Hey Justa. That small corner led to a dead end and like the years before, we ended up in that same cul-de-sac with nowhere to go. As far as I am concerned there are minimum positives when the results have been bad. Yes the experience gained by several juniors has been positive but overall when you lose, you just lose and by losing too many you end up down the bottom.I think the game against the Sharks and Canberra was like a false dawn where people(myself included) thought we may have just started to turn a small corner and yet weeks later here we are, worse off than last year.
