Mug would know more but given his name was not in the academy list maybe the club rates others higher
Younger brother of Trey but unlike Trey Jordy grew.
Had a break out season last year and looked good at centre and 5/8.
Was in the Steelers squad but behind the likes of Sonny, Cooper, Tyler and Marley.
He will head up to Qld and play for Tigers.
Yes Basil has a few steelers players on his list.

Disappointed, tho not surprised that no more than only a couple of Saints juniors has made the Academy squad. Forward Stelios Mougios made the cut but not his brother Christopher as figured that being a specialist halve there'd have been more urgency from the Saints side in nurturing a home grown playmaker in the clubs pathway program.

Another next big thing especially in our barren cupboard for a speed winger his evasive swerve and ability to look up and find that gap is maturity beyond his experience and years. Shows outstanding promise.
His speed and evasive qualities remind me of Mitch Brennan and Tingha. I have never seen him run down from behind once in the clear.

The cutoff for Rookie of the year is 5 games played iirc from the previous seasons so practically all our young guns are ‘technically’ not classed as rookies

Nick the greek would be too - still no 100% coinfirmation on his deal either Top30 or Supplementary.
Halangahu playing 5 games last year rules him out of contention.

I am pretty sure back in the 80's, 90's and even naughties, if someone had started 1 game previously, they were not considered a rookie the following years. I don't count someone playing 5 game the previous season as a rookie.
