As a half back gee it would have been good if we were able to sign Jayden Campbell. He is a running half and is such a great one at that. He beats Atkinson and Kyle Flano hands down.
Are we still actually going with KF deserves to be or should be in the team? No, can't be. There is no way.As a half back gee it would have been good if we were able to sign Jayden Campbell. He is a running half and is such a great one at that. He beats Atkinson and Kyle Flano hands down.
The coach wants him in the 17 RedV01. He has the final say. But does he deserve to be, I don't think he does. Too slow and lacks spark and has poor execution. Defense is his best armory. We need to score tries and many of them in our games and I don't think that he can set too many up. The next half dozen games will see how we are going and if our for and against is positive. Are we still actually going with KF deserves to be or should be in the team? No, can't be. There is no way.
Okay. Are people honestly expecting him to become better? Like he's 20 years old, has just come into first grade. The coach wants him in the 17 RedV01. He has the final say. I agree Campbell would have been a great signing. We did attempt to sign him too and offered him big money. I think 5/8 is his best position. He and Reed would have made a very good pair of halves. As a half back gee it would have been good if we were able to sign Jayden Campbell. He is a running half and is such a great one at that. I disagree about Luai, especially considering the money his is on at Wests.Munster
Luai
Galvin
Dearden
and others would have been great signings as well.
In LKT coaches have plenty of material to work with but at our club, they don't work with it. Head coach spent all off season telling us how good Kyle has been over the past 2 years. It's obviously pure delusion but also obviously no one from above has intervened.
The point is Frank, what would be if we signed Jayden Campbell belongs in your old fantasy recruitment thread. Did he extend with the Titans before ever hitting the open market? Either way he's signed with them for the next few years now so it's the same about speculating how good Payne Haas, Reece Walsh and etc would be if the Dragons signed them.I disagree about Luai, especially considering the money his is on at Wests.
I believe Galvin was a done deal with Canterbury before any news of him wanting out at Wests broke. We were never a chance. He was also under contract, but that didn't stop Gould and Canterbury signing him
We did attempt to sign Dearden and may have been the club who offered him a mil a year, but he knocked us back and stayed with Nth Qld
Munster also didn't hit the market and stayed with Melbourne.
I disagree with you about King-Togia
You conveniently ignored that I was replying to Dragon David. lolThe point is Frank, what would be if we signed Jayden Campbell belongs in your old fantasy recruitment thread. For the genius you claimed to be, you have some dumb takes on things.

lol again? This was popular when Johnny Raper and Reg Gasnier were still putting on the Red V. No wonder you still hold such antiquated views on other things. You conveniently ignored that I was replying to Dragon David. lol

I would agree with you if LKT played Will in the first 2 trials. All these bizarre selections and always going with experience over youth, like Blake Lawrie over LPT, is all for the benefit of the one idea.
What is best for Kyle.
That is the central idea behind everything Flanno does with regard to the team. Not saying I know what he is thinking about how to best suit Kyle but at this stage, we can be sure that is it. I would guess this is a case of misdirection. He has everyone scratching their heads about X in order for everyone to stop talking about Y. Specifically why a talented young 5/8 is being left out of the team in favour of his son who is not in any sense a first grade standard RL player and seems to be only getting worse from the one game he has played this year.
Rwading the comments, I haven't seen a single person agree with the LPT - Lawrie selection. Which might be a first.I would agree with you if LKT played Will in the first 2 trials.
Unfortunately we are all waiting to see whether he plays well in Vegas if called upon, or in reserve grade.
Given the draw, there is every change that LKT may get another chance between rounds 4-6.
As for LPT v Lawrie, I think Flanno’s selection of Lawrie is more controversial than Flanno picking his son.
Lawrie has no ability to bend the line.
The kid has great leg speed and an offload in him.
