Going to be a positive build up to this one ... hope we can double down of a strong performance and go back to back.

Toby back in will make it interesting for selections ... Will Kerr make the game day 19?

Would love to see Atkinson and Nick in jumpers 18/19 with Guler/Webster/Halangahu and Cook rounding out the bench.

Is this going to be the first game this season the Dragons will probably be favourites to win?

Maybe just slightly GCRV. Now if we can win this game, who knows what other of the remaining games we will win.
Newcastle had the worst year in the history of the NRL with just one win. Before the Broncos game, I was worried Dragons were going to beat them. Will almost certainly still win the spoon but a lot of positives in the backend of the season should see us be vastly improved next year.

Just had a look 4 games to go possible 8 points available, we could finish on 20 points, that would push us to 13th position is the highest we could finish if all the team's on 20 points or less lose all their games.
Broncos look like they have given up, i reckon we are a chance of catching them..

cant remember the last time we won 2 games straight.. lets start there >.> tigers can rack up a score very easily.. just depends if we can emotionally back up after last weekend.. if we play like that we will be favourites.
Just looked it up TheRev TheRev.
The St. George Illawarra Dragons won two consecutive games in August 2025, defeating the Canberra Raiders 18-12 on August 2, 2025 (Round 22) and the Cronulla Sharks 22-14 on August 9, 2025 (Round 23), prior to a long subsequent winless stretch.

And the last tine we won 3 in a row was 2022.
5 in a row to maybe avoid the spoon, was last done start of 2018 when we were half decent team.

  • I wonder if Toby is going to swap places with Gular although, I think over the last 2 games, Gular has been pretty good.
  • Whatever LKT is doing differently, Holmes is really loving it.
  • Happy to see No.16 and 17 where they are and No.20 and 21 where they are. Flanno would have had Blocka starting, Kerr on the bench and LPT and Halangahu in reserve grade.

I agree - Guler is doing his job well enough - though i do expect Toby to start

Playing straight and fast and not collapsing the depth of the attacking line or taking the centres space - basic stuff really

Would prefer 20. Nick Tsougrannis .. but everything else you say is good.

21 and 22 are listed for cup and no doubt Kerr comes in if Feagai is scratched or dropped back to cup. Hopefully Nick gets a crack in the last 2 or 3 games. Nick should be getting a go in front of Guler ( leaving ) and blocker unwanted. Makes no sense especially if all the other forwards are fit to play. DA wants to blood him so let’s get it done Deano, forget the other 2 who aren’t here in 2027.

I think our last game against Parra will be a decider.

When was the last time a wooden spooner started favourite in a game.

BTW this game worries me a little
A typical Dragons fan syndrome, we want to believe but because its been so poor for so long, its hard to convince yourself that we are a good side. Mind you I am confident that we will compete in this game and others to follow.
