Yep. He would be a good buy for us. Has some zip and swerve and side step. The hallmarks of a good centre. Not sure about his defence as well but coming out of Penrith I'd say he would be pretty good at it. But, I think he is unlikely to be a Dragon. I'm sure that as he is signed to the end of 2028, Penrith will keep him at their club.

He is signed until 2028 David, i guess we wait and see. Im sure DA is after a centre and another winger and the world of twists and turns are there for everyone to move on. We are in a very unenviable position of securing most positions for 2027, we wait now for other teams to move players on who are not in their future vision.

Morgan seriously? 4% of all registered players in my day got to pull on a 1sts jersey. Its not a lucky dip or a lottery draw. Its hard work over many years. Flanagan has the ability to play 1sts that's proven 160 times over plus I suggest this week as well.
Is he the best 6/7/14, definitely not but he tries and having his old man as a coach would have been tougher on him.
If he had been used exclusively as a 14 people's opinions of him may have changed but we will never know because you can't rewrite history.
We can agree to disagree amicably on this point.
Nothing like your coach telling you to find another club because you’re not getting an extension to give you confidence lol.

- 2027: I have a feeling none of the rumoured centres mentioned are realistic, most of those rumours have been outright squashed by various sources also.. certainly for 2027 anyway, we are essentially out of money for a gun centre due to Suli seemingly staying put + Gutho still on the books.
- 2028: that could be a reality, but I think we want to have a crack at Herbie and/or Bostock first.. but have a feeling we wont get either.. if Herbie gets plucked off by the Roosters or whoever (and hes arguably the best outside back in the game and will get well over 1mil).. I think the Dolphins will use the remaining cash to retain Bostock.. the kid seems rly happy there... I think the only way we get him back is if he actually wanted to return home.. but it doesnt seem like it, and even his sister moved up to the gold coast which is like an hour away from Redcliffe.

Panthers don’t want to pay any freight, they were approached by the Eels early in the season about Tago and they weren’t willing to contribute to his contract (625k)

Well you can read what you wish to in regards to my personal opinion. Flanagan is no superstar so that is a silly statement.
What I am saying is Flanagan is a proven 1st grader, nobody can take that away from him.
LKT is learning his trade and is improving like every 21 year old trying to crack a starting 1st grade spot, and he has improved. Hence he is playing in the run on team.
Before joining us one of Atkinson main strengths was his running game. Well that disappeared whether that was as a result of playing to instructions or just a loss of confidence and form most probably a combination of the two.
Recruitment indicates that our starting 6/7 for next season will be Metcalf/Nikorima. Depth being at this stage, Atkinson/LKT and Reed. Thats my reading of the situation whether I am right time will tell.
Barring injuries our starting 6/7 for the rest of this season will be Flanagan/LKT and I wish them both success.
Last week Flanagan ran twice for 10m for a game manager very poor. LKT 8 runs for 45m so he chose his time to take on the line and was instrumental in 2 of our tries.
The kid did well hence he is again in the run on team. Generally our 1 to 7 this season have performed poorly hence our current position on the ladder.
It is good that people can come onto this forum and have robust constructive conversations and disagree. Not so good belittling other people's comments.

To me that is the order they would be picked in however that is a lot of halves depth impacting our ability to have more effective 3/4 depth. Would not suprise me at all if Atkinson/Kyle have had the conversation about wont stop you leaving if you get an offer. Atkinson should be the more sellable of them.
LKT/Reed are at the moment one thing the others are not and that is cheap.
