Will we be as good as last year? I hope so. We have to be careful that we don't get to a lead and then crash like some other years especially when they bring on their reserves.

Can't wait to see how our halves of Atkinson and KFlanno combine together to provide us with a better attacking game.

Is Val Holmes in any doubt of playing?

Not sure about Holmes. I am looking forward to seeing last seasons 7 playing 6 and our 7 actually playing 7 for the first time in a couple of seasons. Its a very tough ask believe me.

But I've been informed that they are gelling well but there's a big difference between gelling at training and under the pressures of a real game. Time will tell. Looking forward to the real 1st hit out before the Dogs game.

Same here Jo. Watching the more experienced players will be good. I wonder if Fale and Setu Su will be on our wings to start the game - CT might have pulled his hammy again?

Even though I've just spent about 36 hours explaining why Reed needs his year (or 2) in cup... the lack of hooker depth (even if Cook/HFinau stay fit) is a real dilemma, and I have to admit that Kyle doing say 25mins at 9 is almost the only conventional fallback option left.. and that means Atko/Reed in the halves, again for atleast part of the match.

But changing your halves right now after a full *pre-season is madness.. it would only be forced due to the hooker crisis.. which tbh im amazed weve let ourselves get to this point.. I thought for sure we would have recruited a quality young 9... even an experienced one for a 12mth contract.. Connor is likely to miss the majority of the season.

thats only while Val is injured though right?

The problem for Heidke (once he can play NRL) is Fale is also right side focussed.. I thought we were only buying Fale for the wing.. but they must be happy with what they r seeing to give him the ctr gig.. who knows.. much will change even without injuries.

And you still have Buchanan there somewhere in the mix Rev, unless he is down the order.
