Let us hope not but young kids breaking into 1sts can be very impressionableYeah you're right we're all a bit on edge about big Loko after what happened with Latu it feels like another potential kick in the guts.

Understand the calls to take younger players who won't see game time however in my view getting serious Cup minutes in the first round may be more important for their development and match fitness particularly if they are likely to see first team action at some point soon. Egan it doesn't matter because he can't train so makes sense to take him for the experience. But for the others, having a disruptive jolly over to the US instead of training and a competitive Cup match against the Dogs doesn't make sense to me.
19 hour time difference long flights training will be disrupted massively. If they leave next day likely back Wednesday with time difference, probable jet lag and sleep disruption and then playing Saturday with minimal training with the team. Not to mention high incidences of virus transmission on airplanes. Just doesn’t make sense to me at the start of the season.
Some act like its just a plane ride whats the big deal... but the whole trip is physically and emotionally taxing.. the plane is direct and private so its as clean and efficient as it can get, but the travel knocks you around big time.. there are hours of waiting all the way through.. frequently plane delays... passport and security at both ends, but mostly the US side which are a bit intense... but it is what it is.. were going and we will try to make the most of it of course.19 hour time difference long flights training will be disrupted massively. Yeah maybe, Sloan has had numerous chances to get us points to win a game and has failed every one, he just wont go after a game.I can see why we’re taking Sloan over. I think the new bench rules makes him a bit more valuable. Chasing points with 15 minutes or so to go he’d be a good player to activate off the bench.
For me there are numerous games that don’t really work for me. Charity Shield turns one of our trial games into a circus. Anzac Day we lose our home advantage 50% of the time. Magic round same. These things add up for a struggling club with limited squad depth. Some act like its just a plane ride whats the big deal... but the whole trip is physically and emotionally taxing.. the plane is direct and private so its as clean and efficient as it can get, but the travel knocks you around big time.. there are hours of waiting all the way through.. frequently plane delays... passport and security at both ends, but mostly the US side which are a bit intense... but it is what it is.. were going and we will try to make the most of it of course.
The positive is the NRL has done it before and probably have learnt some lessons.... I just want it over and done with, get players back into their own beds, with their families and get into a routine.
Off the field, the club seems to be doing very well. I trust DA and Watsford know what they are doing. Increasingly negative on Shane Flanagan. Ur speaking my language! The Charity Shield makes no sense anymore, make it the first regular NRL game we play them in.. trials in general I would love to have removed.... Anzac day sux but I do get that were lucky to be in it.. and Magic Round is farcical also.. more so that the broncos get away with it not always being their home game.. madness. For me there are numerous games that don’t really work for me. We dont play finals this seasonWe don't play finals, these marquee games are the only 'big' game experience the younger players get in their development with our club. Imo it outweighs missing a nsw cup game.
No idea mate but bringing your 19 plus a couple of spares is probably the go. But I’m not a fan of the Vegas thing anyway I think it’s a silly idea so I’d be taking what i need to try to win the game and leave the rest to maximise their training and development.
Its a privilege to be one of the original teams that play on Anzac Day, lest we forget. Plus where else would I celebrate my wedding anniversary.Ur speaking my language! Im a very seasoned overseas traveller and I can safely say if you are not it takes weeks to get your body clock back to normal upon your return and that's for a bum like me let alone an elite athlete.Your point was iit would be disruptive for Loko and he would miss a Cup game.
Brad Schneider
Tuku Hau
Eddie Ieremia-Toeava
Jeb Stuart
We're all 18th man but all 4 played Cup.
I'm not a fan of the Vegas game either but that's a different discussion
Weeks? I've traveled to Europe multiple times. Never to North or South America. In regard to Europe, it takes 3~4 days to get over the jet lag and it's not as if jet lag is a severe case of Covid. It's not like it really knocks you around. Just makes you sleepy much earlier than usual for 3~4 days.Im a very seasoned overseas traveller and I can safely say if you are not it takes weeks to get your body clock back to normal upon your return and that's for a bum like me let alone an elite athlete.
If I'm right we are no chance of winning games 2 and 3. Time will tell

I suggest you may be correct3 of the 4 teams that travelled last year won round 2
Penrith lost by 6 points to Roosters.
Maybe elite athletes can handle it better than old people.
