Well here we are, a massive day for the Dragons players, the club and the devoted supporters. There are several scenarios at play here.
1. We win the game and we start thinking we may have turned the corner
2. We get thrashed at home, we'll be calling for players heads, coaches heads etc, and the reality that we still cant compete with the top teams
3. We lose another close one, great effort but not good enough and we are still missing a game manager

A win will do wonders atm especially after Vegas, how will the Ref approach this game ? Will he even care ? My My all these variables and its only RD2. Flanno said we are on our way up, maybe we are, maybe its a false dawn ! We always have to fight so hard for a win whilst other teams do it so effortlessly. We lack speed in our backs and unfortunately we are playing a team that exposes that.

But where there is a will, there is a way, life for a Dragons fan is not easy, I'll be going into the game with hope but no confidence simply because of the vital traits this team is missing, our style of play , bash and barge lends itself to a lot of energy being used up with the extra risk of injuries. I hope they have fully recovered from Vegas, both mentally and physically, time will tell especially when things dont go our way during the game !!! Which they will, after all we are playing the purple scum

With Liddle and Egan unavailable, today’s side is still very close to the best 19 we can put on the park, and the Storm look close to full strength as well. The result should tell us two things, how close our best side is to the competition’s top tier, and whether there’s any real upside left this season through changes in personnel.

Wouldnt surprise me to see at least one of player 18/19 play half a game of cup.

Yeah it is interesting. Fegai held back but LKT plays. I suppose there are only 2 halves compared to 5 outside backs so more chance of losing an outside back. Also OBs play a more physical game than halves. Thus risking injury more. But what do you do if you lose Atkinson in the first minute? Then LKT plays 120 mins today (major risk of cramping up). You also could reshuffle with Hamish or Gutho to halves, but then why carry LKT?

Put Gutho into the halves , Holmes to FB, Fegai to wing/center

As expected, Hame to start and use his physicality in the softening up period. Hamish will come off the bench to unlock our attack after fatigue enters and the game opens up a bit.

Wow that was awful defensive read god knows why Tui came charging in off his wing leaving a 2 man overlap. The defence is just not putting the ball carrier into the turf. Could be a very long arvo.

Another easy penalty to get them up the park, then easy metres, and attacking kick and another try. we are not winning the field position and this could get embarrassing.
