GCRV, I know Aus is energy independent but in the event the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea are closed down, won't it cause the total collapse of the world economy?

So far it's really overblown. There are no restrictions on ships passing through the Red Sea unless they are going to or coming from Israel. The US is unhappy about it but mostly because their multi-trillion $ blue water navy is so ineffective and unable to do anything to stop it (restrictions on Israel).Was going to ask
If they attack Iran out of sheer desperation and the added benefit of using that as a legal mechanism to cancel the presidential elections in 10 months now, all bets are off. In that case, who knows? Best stock up on spaghetti just in case.
Happy New Year All! Probably won't come in 2024 but expect the revival to pick up pace dramatically in 2025.
