the 21 halfback is not ones I recognise, very solid torso and the 9 is tiny, i think he might be the 14 for flegg.. like a Plecas or a Weir or someone like that.. we prob just ran out of bodies to play hooker.

oh fark me I thought it was the same game/squad merged together.. its 2 different games.. gah.

err this cup team is full strength almost.. reed, jacob, lpt, nick.. why would they be doing this? gonna back up too i assume? And Souths cup team r all playing first grade.. this is very odd.

Bloody useless Bar with team lists. No idea of most of the Flegg side. Quinn I do know.

They have won comfortably 24-4 and Ressies also close to wrapping a similar win. 28-6 final score. Will watch both games tomorrow.

FleggNotes (6 tries to 1 win):
This was just Flegg players (not cup) so I spent the entire trial trying to figure out who was who... the game was a nothing affair, errors, wet, but we did win it convincingly.. all be it against a weakened squad, a few individual notes:
  • Saifiti is thicc as after his pre-season.. had some good involvements and a clean drop to bomb a try also.. actually he did it twice when he couldn't bend over to pick up a loose ball... very Saifiti like performance.
  • Quinn I don't recall being that tall.. he looks like a 2m tall monster, too big for fullback.. but he went alright. I mean there was very little footy played.. maybe they r sizing him up to replace Sloan/Ramsey as NSW Cup fullback.. but then TPH is probably more likely... so dunno where he plays.. huge dude.
  • Carmichael - The prop we pulled down from the Knights.. he's got an athletic build.. I like what I saw.. he pulled off a strip 1on1 at one point and ran away but the ref thought there was still a 2nd bloke.. shame.. he's got the physical attributes anyway, I think its between the ears for him to step up from here.
  • Noone else rly stood out.. there was a winger who came on the last quarter that iv'e never seen before that put a ball down vertically like it was nothing.. so that's something cause noone at our club appears to be a genuine finisher.

Ressies also close to wrapping an even sweeter trial win. 28 zip with time running down. We let them score a consolation. Will watch both games tomorrow...
