Steelers U17 Notes:
Note: Final regular round before finals, in regardless of the result

First Half:
  • 4min: Coehlo with a grubber into the ingoal from dummy half.. very clever kick.. and somehow the big prop Fangupo runs twice as far as the warriors ctr to ground it first.. 6-0
  • 7min: Fangupo again just monsters his way over 12-0
  • 15min: Coehlo burrows in under the posts 18-0
  • Wanted to note something is different with Burton today, firstly he is wearing red headgear for the first time (i.e. stands out), and he looks like hes trying particularly hard today to 'make things happen' curious what chat has gone on behind the scenes.. has made a few errors also in his playmaking trying to set up his outside men..
  • 20min: Nice backline movement.. Lewis > Chapman> Burton > Berghuis > Laidlaw on the wing, uses some footwork to beat his opponent and score.. Laidlaw is rly a ctr not a winger, might be here due to injury.. but this is a nice moment. 22-0.
  • 28min: Relatively soft try here, Gibbs the 17 just strolls through the middle 28-0.
2nd Half:
  • 32min: Chapman too good, nice lead up with a big run from Tausala 32-0.
  • 42min: dumb penalty and warriors on the attack with more energy in this half.. Good run and we can't stop it.. 32-6.
  • 51min: omg game is over and there is a hip drop on Burton swinging around onto his legs and he has to leave the field.. at least he walked off...
  • 57min - Fangupo with a clean line break runs 30m.. Looks to set up his inside man but holds it and nearly bombs a 2on1.. but just manages to reach out and get it down.. very cheeky.. but a prop with a hat-trick lol... 36-6. FULL TIME.
So with finals next week, Burtons injury is a huge issue.. like game over if he doesn't play... and hopefully Api Amone our best prop will be back also.. otherwise a very dominant win today.

Was Burton limping when he walked off? If so, just a bit or heavily?

Only junior footy I can find today. Saints boys looked the better team but we handed them 4 pts early on that proved to be the difference. Again no team names but our best were #1, #4, #6, #8, #9 #11, #17, #20.

As much as I appreciate Mug Fan Mug Fan and his input, he cant chuck his toys out of the pram everytime someone jumps the wrong way in his eyes, this is a forum. ....Just ignore those you dont agree with.
So come back Mug after Easter👍 definitely need your posts.

This thing with Frank and a certain pet topic of his has been going on for a while. I seriously hope it's over now. I think jodragon40 jodragon40 has had enough and I think I have as well.

Or they could provide an valid argument, but they don't or they can't.

Rolled his ankle in warmup was heavily strapped for game, hip drop was on good ankle they didn’t want to risk him considering game was won
