I’ve been completely Flanno out since the parra loss in round 4 last year iirc, who would you like as a potential HC puff?

I don't know exactly when but at some stage around the middle of last season, it seemed very much to me he was only interested in what was good for one player rather than the team. It might have been after the Anzac game. Finau was dropped and he wasn't even that bad. Kyle had another shocker but he wasn't dropped.
First priority. Anyone that is not Flanno will do. My problem with him is not that he is not making us good. It's worse than that: he is making us bad.
My preference would be for a first time head coach. Preferably an assistant from a good program such as Wallace at Penrith. But there is bound to be a good young assistant that I don't even know about. We don't need a miracle worker. Just someone who is humble, honest with the players, works hard, takes accounatability, and doesn't look for short cuts.

I think my preference is a first time head coach as well, because there’s always the unknown if it starts off a bit poor you can expect gradual improvement in the second season and they get a grace period.
With an experienced coach like Arthur (who I like btw) there’s always this thing in the back of your head thinking that if it goes bad ‘we’ve seen this before and it won’t get better to we should sack him’

DY has to shoulder a lot of blame too. The defensive structures put in place over the last few seasons have been shocking. This talk of him being put in place as interim is crazy. HE’S PART OF THE PROBLEMS TOO!!!
I’d rather have WT come in for the rest of 2026, get the team harmony and attitude in place and make the right calls. Over the last few years he has proven it with the lower grades and into cup. It’s no surprise how much better his sides always look and play.
All the youngsters love playing under his coaching, that’s a fact. Grow a set of balls management and at least get this part right moving forward for 2027 before there’s another mass exodus of youngsters wanting out

He will be the interim if Flanno is sacked. You do not recruit interim coaches.

OK. But it won't be Talau. It will be Young. It's just a fact. This is how it always happens. The main thing will be who they bring in for 27.
And that is why this club is where it is. Rinse and repeat mate. Give the stellar defensive coach the keys to the car

I was a believer. Was I wrong.
I was a believer in Shane at the start as well. I’m not sure if the poor results are 100% his fault but we are getting and looking worse with him in charge so he should shoulder a lot of the blame. Classic example of the game moving by a coach and their game style. The thing that pisses me off about Flanno the most now is the constant comparisons to his sharks side and how they did this or that or whatever it is. I swear every time he speaks he tries to justify the position we are in with some situation he was in with the sharks. I actually don’t care about what happened with the sharks 14 years ago it’s completely irrelevant now and completely different game. Everyone knows you won a premiership you don’t have to keep telling people about it
