LAST THROW OF THE DICE 2022

SGI NSW Cup
Ok been thinking about what we can do resuscitate our dying season. As a coach you have a responsibility to ensure that you give your club every opportunity to make the semi finals. So this is what I took away from yesterday's debacle. I'm open to your comments but what we have now isn't working we leak too many points and we were leaderless yesterday. Its time for the coach to think outside the box. Next week against the Rorters my team would be.
1. Ramsay
2. Feigai
3. Suli
4. Lomax
5. Sloan (Rav is gone for season, Im open to swapping1/5) -Agree. Prefer Sloan at the back for not only his running but ball skills. Ramsay is a down and out runner.
6. Amone/Sullivan ( not both 1 drops out of the 17 personally for me due to his lack of defence Amone back to NSW Cup. There was one tackle yesterday he turned his shoulder into the oncoming ball carrier and actually tackled with his head first) - Amone gets my vote. Both are not super defenders but Junior has more effect in attack.
7. Hunt (We missed him yesterday)
8. Lawrie
9. McCullough--wasnt he put on report for a late tackle?
10. JDB ( I hate picking him at prop but there really is no option)- give Jayden Hunt a debut.
11. Sims-- expected to miss due to suspension.
12. Sua
13. Bird-- with reservation.. but he is like Starc in cricket.. undroppable. This is JDB's home.
14. Muhleisen-- yes yes.
15. Mbye--I like him but can we afford to have two bantams coming off the bench. We need some power and impact. George Burgess is ideal but he seems to be on the outer. What other big boppers are impressing in Ressies?
16. Molo- Francis or Michael? Prefer Michael.
17. Woods--Jayden Hunt

That's it we can't just simply plod along with what we have. Just my views.---@Jodragon40 I cant see a whole lot different with your roster than we have now.

I watched Hunt for the first 5 min when he went on against the Broncos and threw my arms up, not understanding why it had taken so long to give him a chance. After 5 min it become apparent. He looked completely gassed after 5 min. I think he has go back to NSW Cup for the year.
In the NSW Cup for at least most of the rest of this year:
  • J. Hunt has a lot of work to do becoming fitter.
  • Sullivan has to work on his game management. More often passing when he should pass and running when he should run. And kicking much better.
  • Sloan, IMO has the least to work on, taking bombs and tackling better. Having mroe confidence to run the ball back into defence. Not stroll back and dive at their feet, like Dufty used to do.
